Week 10 Results
SPIKEFADER has done it again folks! He beat all of us quite handily by finding an awesome short play that enabled him to bag an incredible 17.27%!!!!!!!
A little something about ECC Capital Corp. (ECR): This company was founded in 2004, and it paid its CEO $4.01 million and its "Co CEO," Shabi Asghar, $4.97 million last year, not to mention the $0.996 million it paid its COO? Ya gotta love a company that pays a guy named Shabi five million bucks a year. (Not too shabby ... for Shabi that is.) After having earlier this year laid off 440 employees (27% of its workforce), in a press release on Feb. 27, ECC Capital announced the cancellation of its dividend payment. Shabi explained: "Given . . . the operating losses in our mortgage banking segment, we plan to retain capital . . . [blah, blah, blah] . . . and for the prudent operation of our business." Shabi added: "As a management team we are focused on improving the company's operating results and restoring our mortgage banking operations to profitability."
Translation: "It looks like we may be going down in flames, and we have to hang on to as much cash as possible so that there will be something left in the kitty to raid when our loyal stockholders become our royal bag holders." Excellent short, Spikefader!!!!!!

EONC was a downright solid gold winner of a pick!!!! (Well, silver anyway this week, thanks to that durned Spikefader! heh heh) And you know what word you can make by rearranging the letters of EONC? ... That's right! CONE!!!
And you made the rest of us ('cept for Spike) look like a bunch of CONE-HEADS this week! Okay, so you made your point this week!!! (Point, get it?) See ya in the next round!

I'm not sure they look too reliable! But they sure didn't give you a bum steer this week!!!! I'm not sure, but that one on the left looks like he checkin' you out, know what I mean? LOL!!! HUGE play this week, dude!!! That TWTC 1-yr. chart sure looks awfully sweet for a company that's spent more dough than they've made over the last year! But hey! No one can deny it's been a great one, eh? You're comin' back for more next week, right? Well alright then! It's a promise!
And check out Lye and James ... with their gains of over 6½% this week!!! How awesome is that???? Imagine making that kind o' gain in a week's time and not even winning the bronze medal! That's ... that's ... that's ... c'mon, you know what it is ... that's HUUUUUGE!!!!
Webs and Doug also both turned in spectacular performances with their showings of more than 4½% this week!!! Okay, Webs ... if you keep it up like this, it will speak well for the VTP! Let's see that new paradigm, dude! And Mel ... I mean, Doug! You are proving to be a formidable opponent, dude! I don't know what system you use, but whatever it is it's working! High fives!
Well thanks to that little tip I received yesterday, I wound up fairly well in the green also! Gee, I'm wondering if you all can figure out the identity of the "little birdie." heh heh
Congrats to all the players for a well-fought battle! Some of you got your noses bloodied this week, but hey! We all know the feeling, I guarantee it! Just come out sluggin' again next week and chances are you'll do better!

The VTP ranked #4 and #6 this week on the POTW. It won't be long before we are #1 and #2 every week.
I hate to do it Rob, but I'm going to have to go $$$CASH$$$ for the next two weeks. I'll be in Paris exploring ways to enhance the VTP. While I am there, I am also having a meeting with one of my technical advisors.
Maybe Karel will drive down to hang out. What do you say Karel? Let's do lunch. I know a decent cafe, just around the corner from the Eiffel Tower, or we could hang out at the Cote' Cote' Restaurant out by the Charles Degaulle airport, so you don't have to drive in the city traffic.Comment
