I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Thanks Spike, I would like to thank..... no; I finally did a little TA with the ameritrade advance analyzer; and screened for a stock in a buy on the 50 day. I put the skills picked up here to work, next week I will have another. feels good to have earned a good one with skill, still humbled in the shadow of his Hugeness, and great Technicals as yourself.
Please enter me for Cash in case I am not around. I will be on business in Lost Wages of all places, lookin for a hard eight- The Photon
I think I'm going to pass on the POTW for now...penalty and all...I am concentrating on my own trades along w/ my trading partner...Unfortunately I don't think I will have the time for the contest.
I'm sort of a busybody as some know...But I decided to drop many forums last weekend...Dropped out of 4 and will drop some more this weekend.
However...I like this Forum that Ernie has and I intend to stay here at Mr. M is Huge...But I will be passing on the weekly contest...Best to all...Doug(IIC)

I hate to hear that Doug.... But no time for the contest? I don't understand. It takes 15 seconds to post a pick.... Maybe less!
I'm sure Webs and me can find the time to come up with a HUUUGE VTP pick for you for a small fee dude!.... Or better yet, get your "trading partner" to enter your pick for you!

Oh, come on, Doug. It's only been 4½ weeks since you said: “I think we should make [Rob] permanent scorekeeper...Whether he likes it or not!!!” ... and now you say you don't even have time to post a bloody pick? Shoot, just do what Karel does. He puts up a pick over the weekend and lets it ride. (He's proven to be a pretty darn good weekly stock-picker too, has he not?)
I think I will cast my lot with EXFO long again next week. Even though I lost on it last week, I still like it for several reasons.
Formerly a profitable company, it hit rock bottom in the 2nd half of 2002. Since then it's been fighting back and is just beginning to show profit again. Some of the hugest moves I've seen have been with companies on the cusp of profitability.
Having just read up on these A-B-C intermediate corrections (thanks, Spike and Scifos) I think EXFO fits the mold. And I like the fact that the three highest volume spikes in the past month have been up days, while this latest correction has been on relatively low volume.
EXFO is scheduled to report earnings on Apr. 4th, a week from Tuesday, so I like the chances that there will be more buying ahead of that date. The estimates are that the company will report earnings of $0.03 per share.
The Vector Vest Graph for the Telecomm(FiberOptics) Industry shows that its industry has been hot lately, and we all know how stocks like to move in herds. Well these guys don't sell telecom services; they manufacture and sell equipment to the telecom providers. In other words, they are a "pick-and-shovel" play in the telecom industry. I like that.
OK OK...you shamed me into it...But if I had the time to make a couple of timely moves during the week I'd do better...So I'll just put up one that I really like and let it ride for the week...But the problem is that I might only really like it for a couple of days...Doug
