Karel had no idea of how the day was going to shape up with QMAR. His portfolio had been not quite holding it's own even though QMAR had stood the test last week and beat back the Vulcan Websman. But todays action was going to put Karel's name on the international map. A whopping 37.80 % gain off of Mondays opening price of 15.98. It seems there will be no close race this week. His face was beginning to hurt the way it does when your grinning to much. Rob was doing his own grinning with his two picks today. With VLO up 10.64% Rob exits the position to enter GOOG at it's low of the day and gains another 7 points or so and adds 1.38% to the first 10.64 for a cumulative gain of 12.02% and the 2nd spot. Peanuts, back from the far east and I'm sure bringing some male enhancement trading secrets with him, just look at the first picture he puts up of his adventures and what are you expected to make of that one, flexes his own MUSCLES with an 11.69% gain to take the 3rd position. Ray having fallen down and not been able to get up the past couple of weeks somehow regains his footing to finish in the 4th spot with a commendable 10.12% gain of his own with SOLF. Somewhat of a reversal today with the reds taking a 10 to 7 lead over the greens. Midweek and the race is on. Is there any way of catching the Viking and his runaway fleet of ships?

But QMAR is trading at around $21.60.

So, why the still significant discount?
Why is this anything other than a virtually guaranteed 19% return?
Why should I not buy a boatload (pardon the pun) of QMAR at 21.60?
      Stenz,
What if EXM keeps dropping like it did today? I had a bank stock that was bought out last year and everything seemed rosey until the price tanked 40% in the last 2 days before the acquisition and I lost on the deal. I wouldn't trust these guys as far as I could throw them, but it does appear to be a no-brainer. Good luck.

        Ski,

I have VLO opening at 60.31 at 1:39

... and GOOG opening at 544.56 at 1:39.

(If you use 1:38 those numbers are 60.30 and 544.53.)

These are pretty easy to get off those new Yahoo beta charts. You open the one-day chart and as you hover your mouse over the chart it will give you minute-by-minute open-high-low-close numbers.

I will take that under advisement Rob. Options Express used to give me the raw data and sales prices all day long but have stopped doing so and it has become a problem with getting these prices. Hopefully I'll be able to make the changes today. Busy day with meetings in the morning and wife's birthday today and dinner out with friends tonight. I'll take care of it though.

            Rob,
I made the changes. Actually you went down to 11.75% from 12.02%. Nothing changed in the standings. Thanks for the suggestion on the yahoo beta charts.

Spike was the first to use the stop and the first to benefit from it. Stops his bleeding early and he lives to play the rest of the week with as good a chance as any one of us catching the Viking Karel who had another up day with QMAR.

Riverbabe, I have you out of COLM @3:47 pm @ 41.96 and into RNOW @3.47 pm @ 12.62. River, it seems that your luck has changed. Have you changed anything in your lifestyle which would change your luck?

Of course I have, and you know it skidaddy. How can it be plainer? Just can't concentrate on the market right now. And everybody there should be happy because I'm not a threat RNOW (and that's down in the AH too! Sigh!). Just wait though. I'LL BE BAAAAACK!!!!

I will go with MBI long... see what happens... using live quotes I have it at exactly 16.23 right now...

I would also like to set a 7% stop loss if it hits that point... Also, if it hits the 7% stop loss may I turn around and go short on the stock?

If that is not allowed then I will just keep the 7% stop loss anyway!

                              Thanks ski...

Are we still doing the 7% stop loss? Because I posted this along with my original play on MBI...
