Poll: Do you believe $$$MR. MARKET$$$ has 79 consecutive profitable trades?

There are some new members who question my streak..I was hoping the elder members can weigh in on this poll.

The important part is that MM has posted "the opportunity " to make 79 trades for yourself . Actually most of the trades posted have given the chance for an even lower entry point thus a greater than 15 % return.


I have not traded all of his entries but the opportunity has been there.

It would be interesting to make a long thread with each of the buy notifications. followed by a note of when the trade was closed , price and gain.
set it up so noone else can post on it .. just for reading pleasure. I would certainly verify that the letters all occured on the stated dates.

I don't know if Mr M shorts stocks, I think he's going to have to consider it.

That's true...To be honest, I joined his Yahoo Forum at the suggestion of an Internet trading buddy who I have since lost contact with back in about May 2002. I was skeptical at the time and after a month or so I drifted out.

I like to keep up on Who's Who in Internet stock trading so I did see when Ernie moved here...Then in November 2003 I was invited to join which I did....Obviously, Mr. M and I have very different trading/investing styles...For the majority of my trades I am "Get In...Get Out...Get It Over With"...But I do make intermediate term and long term investments.

Anyway, I always check out his Top 5 for new ideas...And I have found some good ones over the years...I have also made some nice friends here...Some never post...But we keep in contact....I think Ernie has set up a nice forum.

Whoever it was that suggested that the streak is not real or whatever they said can check the record. Heck, if anybody cared they could check mine too...I have no problem posting my losers...Although I'm not about to reveal how much $$$ I put in each trade...Which is all over the board depending on a lot of factors. For example...even though I might have made out...I'm not about to throw 50 grand at a cr*p stock like CTDC.

Anyway...Mr. M has his philosophy and we all have our own...I imagine that one day the streak will end...I'd think he'd like to see it get to 100...Only time will tell...Best, Doug(IIC)

Your point is well taken. Yes, he's traded with the trend. If he didn't, he would not have been successful. So I don't think that he can legitimately be criticized for trading with the trend. Your post admits as much when you say "I think he's going to have to consider [shorting stocks]." You are saying the trend is now reversing, and MM better reverse with it or else he's going to see the streak broken.

What I'd like to see you do for us is post a few short set ups. Your post a few days ago warning MM (and the rest of us) to "pull in [our] horns" looks like pure gold advice after 10 a.m. EST today. I like your stuff; I think you are a good trader; and I know you are an intelligent man. No doubt you've got a lot to give, and there are a lot of us here who want what you've got. I hope you'll take this suggestion. I'll continue watching your thread to see what I can learn from your posts.

Of course I'll vouch for you, $$MM! I've only been trading right with you on each of the last 50 winners or so. Never have I seen such a generous and excellent stock picker before. I don't see how anyone could possibly dispute your indisputable record. It is now and always has been plainly displayed for all to see in real-time, each trade as it happened. Nobody can deny this.

I've beaten the market each and every year for the last 15 yrs and I've never gone short.

Every day there are many many stocks setting new highs. Every day. No matter what happens in the overall market.

My model uncovers these stocks. That's how it's built. That's how it works. The market does not appreciate the value potential of these stocks. That's why they go up.

I will be the first to congratulate $$$MR. MARKET$$$ and tell him he is
$$$ HUGE $$$

The key word is trade -- and its definition.

A trade is a closed transaction -- i.e., a buy and a sell in $$$MR. MARKET$$$ parlance.

Of course, he still has paper losses in some open transactions.

I assume that at some point in the future Mr Market may tidy up his account by taking tax losses (if he has any). At that point the streak will be over.
