Wow! What the heck happened to 2017? My family is still good, and businesses are still good. I hope you all are doing well. We bought a new house since last update and a new building for the empire. We renovated 2 buildings, refreshed another, and redid a kitchen in another... so glad it is over! I'm not afraid to do the work myself, but priorities to my family and primary business force me to use contractors. What a P.I.T.A.! I tell you, there is HUGE money to be made for quality contractors. And, I don't have expectations too high... show up, do good work, don't break stuff, don't steal stuff, stay true to your word/contract. Do this well, and the world will beat a path to your door.

Trading strategy seems to always evolve. I eschew options, daytrade high volume news releases, and sector hedge... not great, but not bad either. I hit a homerun +200% in a small oil explorer that was just a leap of faith that turned out profitably.

I check in here and there to get Mr Market's latest and greatest. He really is HUGE... an outstanding run of now 80+ winners in a row. Compound 15% 80 times. HUUUUUUUUGE!!!!!

Websman is, and I think Lyehopper still checks in from time to time. I haven't seen Runner or NBB in a very long time, though.

Marriage has produced much happiness and I guess my potency extends to other aspects of life... I have 2 boys just 14 months apart. They don't know it yet, but they are HUGE! Both are measuring in the 90's (percentile) for height, weight, and head size according to the doctor. They are true blessings to us, and my wife and I intend them to be blessings to the world. Oh wow how my back hurts! And, why am I always tired?

My real estate investments have been one of the best decisions ever... In just 3 years, the market in my location has really picked up and what I paid for my buildings and what they are worth now represents a 73.3% increase in real estate value. On top of that, I have a cash-flowing investment that represents a 9.7% yearly net return on investment. I have made vast improvements to the quality of the units and it has really paid to do so. I'm looking to buy more in my location... empire creating.

My regular business affords us the lifestyle that we want and that's really all for which I could ask. Besides, being your own boss has some pretty good built-in perks.

As far as stock market investing, there has been a lot of changes in strategy. I don't trust Wall Street one bit. Other than the long-term loser-dogs that I still have in my account (CLNE, DDD, FSLR, and TWTR), I do not subscribe the buy and hold strategy. I do not trust the market to be "investment grade" for me. I am only a short-term trader. Rarely do I do a day-trade. My focus is primarily triple ETF's or option trades in no more than 3 different industries. I trade long and short and in different instruments, and do not hold for very long. I'm spooky of pretty much anything in the news and I no longer entertain press releases. There is no honesty... except in one system. That is: Mr. Market Is Huge. I'm telling you, there is nothing like it! It is simple, concise, compounding, and proven. I have been following Mr. Market for quite some time and running fantasy portfolios from his dumps. I know what works!

I am starting a MMIH trading portfolio for my boys. I haven't been able to find a better resource anywhere. Thank you, Ernie!

Yes, trading VIIX is a short term and can go either way (although I do think we are in a funky place and this sense that the tide may quickly change will pay off dearly if I am on the right side).

I have similar feelings regarding the market as a whole. I wrote a good number of covered calls on many of my positions yesterday and SPY Puts is definitely a viable hedge.

Yeah, I saw that in the thread you started. As others have indicated, it seems like a very short term trade. I'm anxious on the entire market... how much longer can we climb on this worrisome wall of data? Considering some longer term put options on SPY

Life events... marriage, bought a new home, moved (x2 when you count Mrs. Peanuts), sold a home, bought investment real estate, renovated it, and then moved my company to new location and made it a smidgen bigger- setting in motion future growth prospects.

What's new around here? How much can you bench now? I'm impressed with your new win streak. How are the younger huge ones?

Mimo, Thanks for mentioning CEF. Mrs. Billy is now a proud owner in her IRA though she doesn't know it yet.
