The Fed will announce its decision on interest rates today. Future trading suggests a 38 percent chance the central bank will cut the benchmark rate by three-quarters of a percentage point, to 0.75 percent. The rest of the Fed funds futures bets point to a half- point cut.
However, I think that if Fed may take a chance by cutting only 25 bases point as then can use this weapon to the market if the situation worsens, but if they cut more than they would have no chance.
