IPv4 addresses running out this year

An IP address is a sequence of numbers that is assigned to every device that is connected to the internet. Currently, the vast majority of the internet is using the IPv4 system which has approximately four billion IP addresses. IPv4 addresses will run out this spring. Although, a newer system called IPv6 is available. The newer system has four billion times more IP addresses than IPv4 and will not run out of ip addresses anytime before all of our deaths.

World IPv6 day is on June 8, 2011. On this day most web companies will start to transition from IPv4 to IPv6. Will this be the Y2k that never came in 2000? I'm wondering, are there any investments that could potentially profit from this transition?
