Sold today for a 15.1% gain and also sold LUV for 17.30% gain. Thank you Mr. Market!!!!!!! I also held some FB and made a nice 10% in little over a month and sold that too.Earnings are after closing today. Probably great earnings but I just wanted to take the money and run. Wait for a pullback to get back in I think. Will be getting back into all of these I think at a future date. Gosh it kills me to hit "sell" when they are rising like this. Thank you again, Mr. Market!
Update: 4:53 PM. Well Crap! FB up $3 afterhours. I don't get it though. They posted .30 cent profit per share and wallstreet expected .32 cents profit and they zoom up?
Whats the general feeling here on earnings? Do you like to run right before them as a general rule or not? Some drop on great news, this one goes up on lesser news.

Yes, I bought around the same time you were "publically bullish." However, the knife got me so I've been waffling about what to do. Unfortunately, my basis was a little above 8.64 so it might be awhile before they're back. Didn't read that report yet so I will. If you'd like, I could sell and the stock will shoot right up to the stars immediately following..Originally posted by tiedyed1 View Postjoshcord, I was publicly bullish on CXDC a few months ago. Entered 5/15 at $8.64 but then got out on 6/12 at $10.02 as the knife was falling.
I like the way they replied to Bleeker Street's recent report but think it will take some time to get the respect it hopefully deserves.
If all is accurate in the companies filings this would be a tremendous buy at these levels.
I have an alert set if it dips < $6.00 and continue to monitor the news.

Minus the possibility that it could drop whatever amount you set the trail, I'm trying to understand if there are other downsides (which I could easily be missing). I like more money over button pushing... I can get those pushed by friends, family, etc... ha. Obviously I've left a little on the table, but I think it is overshadowed by the times it worked well; i.e. when a stock is still on fire w/o sig. dips. I tighten it up as it goes. Yay thrm!!!! C'mon LUV and giddyup ACET, ALK. Anyone got a thought about cxdx currently?

Today I received a mail that my trade confirmation was available. Trade? What trade? Well, THRM, sold at 48.06. I like to have my buttons pushed for me! YMMV.

Fair enough! I snoozed some yesterday but it wasn't that expensive. Thanks MM, cheese in the mail! Great pick. Maybe it should be the next one too, all the same things seem true about it as before. Keep em coming.
(Insert a funny joke about MM and seat coolers here).

I don't use them as I like pushing the button when I sell.Originally posted by joshcord View PostHere's a rookie question for any sellers or Ernie; Does anyone use trailing stops when they've arrived or is that a silly choice for reasons I'm missing? Thanks if you will share. jc

The Long: Gentherm Inc.
Current price: $41.13
12-month target price: $50
As our economy thaws from the chilling grip of an epic polar vortex this past winter, The U.S. equity market is resuming its upward grind once more, possibly signaling the end to a stealth bear market in small caps wherein the average small cap stock has declined nearly 25% from peak to through recently. Here are two ideas to help you benefit from a reaccelerating economy while hedging your downside.
Gentherm Inc. is a global developer and marketer of innovative thermal management technologies for a broad range of heating and cooling and temperature control applications. Automotive products include actively heated and cooled seat systems. Company growth appears to be unappreciated by the Street for reasons that we expect will be cured. The acquisition of a larger German company last year that was in the making for two years led an inability for the street, both sell side and buy side, to accurately monitor company fundamentals, leading to missed estimates and dropped coverage. With the acquisition completed, the story has become far clearer and we believe it will bring in new attention from investors and analysts.
The German acquisition will help with penetration of automotive seating products in the EU where it has substantial room to grow. We forecast earnings growth of 55% in 2014 and 12% in 2015 although we think that is conservative. We believe Gentherm Inc. should be valued at 30 x 2015 eps estimates of $1.65. Our 12 – 18 month price target is $50.00.
Risks are if US and European economies slow that would likely crimp auto sales and hurt Gentherm Inc. Also, the Company completed another acquisition in April and will need to be integrated in the operations and this may impact earnings in the near-term quarters.
