    Cheapskate Seeking Free Screens

    Fellow Mr. Market people,
Being the cheapskate that I am , I'm looking for any free stock screening sites you may have tried. You can even mention ones to avoid. Came across one last week that had plenty of options . Some of the choices were 1. best earnings 2. worst earnings and 1. high priced 2. low priced and 1. low pe 2. high pe. I'm looking for specific screens that are also simple to use and preferably free. The more the merrier. Thanks.

      New-born,
I was suggesting it was a bad screening site. It was so non specific it seemed to be based more on opinion than numbers. Such as : click here for good stocks , click here for bad stocks. I didn't make note of it, but is was a big name company which surprised me. I'll try to find it again if you really want to know.

            Screens

I think that MSN screen ( download deluxe version) is the best out there. Easy to use and pretty accurate. This is what I use regularly. www.moneycentral.msn.com

Click on link thatsays "download MSN Money Investment Toolbox. "

              New-born,
For those who want to know. I found one on an MSN money site that looks pretty stupid, but it isn't the site that Greb mentions , maybe they're trying to get people to pay for the good stuff. Found one called the Rotten Stock Picks 2004 Turkey Shoot. Another called the Market Watch screener looked promising , but when I put in my parameters they said there were no such stocks (I wasn't that picky) so the search continues.

Again, ease of use is very important as I'm not as sharp as I used to be , but these new pills I started this morning seem to make me type faster.

Greb, I know this is a stupid question but how do they get MSN out of "Money Central" ?

                Billyjoe's Question

MSN is MicroSoft Network ....moneycentral is just their finance section.

Their screen is no good unless you download the "deluxe version" which is free

                      Greb,
Told you it was a stupid question. Does that mean it's a good sign if Microsoft contacts me about changing the title of this thread to the MSN Cheap Stock Portfolio ?

                            Billyjoe,
I use this one all the time myself. Next to Stockcharts.com I like it the best. You can use their pre-defined scans or set up your own custom scans. Plug in http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor...ch/welcome.asp and you'll be able to get to everything from there. Let me know if you have any problems getting to it.

Tom...For free I believe that is the best one going...I have Realtime Stockcharts which allows me to write my own scans...which I believe is "Well" worth the bux.

Dailygraphs also has a Custom Screener...But they certainly should upgrade it for the bux they charge IMO...they have never added to it, which would be simple...since it came out...Doug
