Mr Market Stock Contest 2006

Grebnet & Sirtuck are $$$HUGE$$$ as they battle it out for Silver & Bronze!!!

And Lye is right there too. Kudos go to Karel w/ CELL & Spike w/ CERS both up over 9% this past week.

Our A/D/U was 13/12/1 for the week but our YTD goes down to 12/14/0 from 13/13/0 as Gary's VLO goes green but Stocks54's ELN and Billy's TLF go red.

We were up a fraction overall this week as our YTD is now at
-0.16% The collective portfolio has not been green since 6/30/06.

The CSSGX was red the prior 3 weeks...But it was +3.4% this past week. However, their YTD is an embarrassing -9.08% as they battle to stay out of the cellar in the Morningstar ratings in the Mid Cap Growth category

I use the open on 1/3/06 for the indices and the close on 1/3/06 for the CSSGX because funds are only priced at eod.

I'm surprised you could get that information. Did you notice it was August 2004? I'll bet their paid subscriptions are well under 200,000 now.

It really is amazing to me that CSSGX is doing as bad as it is though. I'd assume the managers are Canslim experts...If true, how does anyone expect Joe and Jane Canslim to make any money?

Nobody was particularly $$$HUGE$$$ this week!!!

The race for Silver and Bronze is really tight between Grebnet, Sirtuck and Lye...My money is on.......

Our A/D/U was 9/17/0 for the week as our YTD goes down to 13/13/0 from 14/12/0 as Gary's VLO goes red.

We were down a fraction overall this week as our YTD is now at

The CSSGX was red the past 3 weeks...Big Surprise...lol...and now stands at -11.19% YTD....Maybe CANSLIM never should have been revised??? CSSGX is now down 29.9% since May 9th...Wow!!!...I never imagined it was that bad. BTW...Have you ever wondered what type of person subscribes to IBD??? The celebs had 9 advance and 8 decline with #11 FO emding up green for the first time. Advancers were lead by #6 ERTS +9.02%, #2 FTO +6.60%, and #5 STX +3.04%. Top decliners were #1 ATI -13.11% and #16 ESLR -7.06%.
YTD performance dropped .14% to 10.51%.

The race for Silver & Bronze is $$$HUGE$$$

Sorry about missing last week...As I see the race for 2nd and 3rd is very tight. Lye's ECOL drops from 2nd to 4th but he's still right there w/ Sirtuck's ABB and Greb's APLX. We all know the story on Mickey's BWNG but honorable mention goes to Sowersnc's ACI which was up a nifty 15.9% over the past two weeks.

Our A/D/U was 11/14/1 for the week but it was good last week ( 18/8/0 ) as our YTD advances to 14/12/0 from 10/16/0 as J's LJPC and Billy's TLF went green two weeks ago and Gary's VLO ( after dipping into the red 2 weeks ago ) and Peter's & DMK's GG went green this past week. This is the first time our collective A/D/U has been green since June 2nd.

We were +1.72% over the past 2 weeks as our YTD moved to
-0.34%. The collective portfolio has not been green since 6/30/06.

The CSSGX was red the past 2 weeks...Big Surprise...lol...and now stands at -8.89% YTD.

Our celebs are putting the pressure on the Mr.Market gang with another good week of 10 advancers vs. 7 decliners that has allowed them to increase their YTD performance to +10.65%. Gainers were led by #1 ATI +9.54%, #9 XTO +4.74% and in the green for the first time in memory, #5 GOOG +3.75%, and #4 SU +3.02%. The only loser of significance was #10 ERTS -2.90%.

Another good week for the celebrity pickers with advancers outnumbering decliners 9-8. Gainers were led by #7 GOOG +7.66%, #1 ATI +6.48%, #15 ESLR +4.33%, and #4 SU +4.05%. The only major decline was #2 FMCN -9.05%. YTD gain rose to +9.47%.
