BTW Ray, interesting pick in GHM, a maker of equipment that allows an oil refiner to process "sour" crude oil feedstock, which is the more plentiful product brought out of the ground around the world. You must think that GHM is a better way to leverage the very profitable sour crude processing enterprise (think VLO, FTO, and others) than buying the refiners themselves. I had profitably traded FTO in 2005.

lol well I'm not makin' a big issue out of it. If this helps, this is the chart that www.nasdaq.com is producing today:Originally posted by IICI will call the Nasdaq tomorrow...I'm serious. I would like to know why there are so many discrepencies all the time. Particularly, why the Advance/Decline numbers are different everywhere you look.

I shouldn't have opened my big mouth. Now that I'm in charge of celebrity picks, please tell me any you have heard besides Cramer's. Now I don't want any of you jokers to tell me Madonna's pick or anyone like that, just financial people or financial commentators. I'd even take Wm. O'Neil's if he'd commit to anything you could track him on. One per celebrity please. How about the Gardner Bros?

I've got one besides Cramer's ATI, but can't recall who made it. Was a report today from the Consumer's Electronics Show in Vegas. The pick was STX and they were very enthusiastic about it. For now it will be listed as the "unknown celebrity" pick. Thanks everybody, I need all the help I can get. Remember our purpose is to show the skills of MM forum members vs. world financial experts.

OK Billy...I would like to follow CBS MarketWatch's "EXPERT" Bambi Francisco.

Unfortunately, Bambi and I are usually too busy to discuss her pix...so I'll leave it up to you to find her favorite...It might be IIC (Morgan Stanley CA MUNI INC.)...but I'm not positive about that...Doug(IIC)

 Doug,
I can hardly believe it. Went to Bambi's blogs and '06 predictions and she picked BEL .... amazing. No, I'm kidding, she makes general predictions such as what GOOG will start charging for, but nothing specific. I want to hear Robin Meade's pick. I'd listen to her. You know she's a Buckeye, actually didn't live too far from me. Never saw her in the store or gas station, I'd remember that.

Geez...This is becoming quite a bit of work...I can hardly wait to spend my New Year's weekend '07 trying to deal with all the controversy on the year end closing prices...LOLOriginally posted by mimo_100IIC,

The opening price on ENER on 1/3/2006 was $42.23 not 41.95 (we're using US dollars aren't we??? LOL). I figure this contest should encompass some of the same etiquette as golf, so I'm telling on myself. (Laughing)

 Tim

Hopefully, I'll be so far ahead though that no one will even bother checking

OK...I called Dorothy back at the Nasdaq and she changed the official open on ENER..."No Questions Asked"
