    Robb,
Some of us here have emotional problems to varying degrees. We try not to let it interfere to much with our interacting amongst ourselves. Sometimes it does but we always seem to apologize and let it pass that's why we have survived as a decent group for so long. So welcome to the forum. I know this is short notice but you'll see that we have a game called the portfolio of the week contest where we all throw one of our setups into it each week and Lyehopper, perhaps one of our most dysfunctional but richest, keeps a running score daily and weekly of the performance. It's just a game but it's somewhat of a challenge to see who does the best each week and who can keep his picks in the green with the highest % over the long term. You and Dave are welcome to join in. I, for one, would like to see how you guys stack up against us. No big deal one way or another. You can find the rules in the Portolio of the Week thread.

When I first got into the internet...late '97...although I fooled around with it from about '94...I participated in some AOL stock chat...Within hours I was getting porno spam...after a few days I deleted that screen name...Never went back to any stock stuff at AOL even though I still have it and I'm fairly certain they corrected that email harvesting problem.

Anyway...I have seen your pages at Stockcharts Rob...Good stuff.

Obviously, here at Ernie's there are a number of us who like to have a little fun...but between the jokes there are some good ideas presented. I've been investing since I bot my first stock in Jr. High circa 1967...Seriously, since 1983...The day it stops being fun for me is the day I go to cash and do something else.

Welcome aboard Rob...It is nice to see you over here. Best, Doug(IIC)

            Robb,
I checked your charts over at Stockcharts. I see that you have earned the sunglasses as a Hall of Fame author. That alone is impressive. Could you give us a brief description of your strategys regarding your style and what you look for in setups. How you usually place your stops. I see alot of your charts show symetrical triangles an a few ascending triangles. Is that one of the principal formations that you look for in a setup. What is your normal holding time frame for a position an are you a full time trader? I asked Dave this question earlier. Have you heard of a guy named Deron Wagner?

OK...so I am exposed...the only forum that I ever got banned at was the Swamp...But after 7 months I was invited back if I behaved myself...I did...I re-joined but never posted again.

Slutsky...Is that a REAL name??? I don't think so...DePorre...Sounds like a stage name to me too...Anyway...Anyone who would pay $4800 a year to watch these guys trade is an idiot in my opinion. They are pretty good...But they are "Johnny Come Lately's" ...And so is Canslim.net...remember KG?...Who called it a week prior???

Personally, I don't think I am arrogant as some would suggest...And I'm not much of a Canslimmer anymore anyway...But anyone who is can easily find these type before these guys do IMO...And it won't cost you almost 5 grand either...Doug(IIC)

                  D.Steckler,
Karel can get rid of problem posters here, but rarely has had to. We try to keep on our meds and admit that we can be as$ho%es. Then we get serious for a while. Actually we fear getting on Mr.Markets bad side.

Scott's a good addition to this forum. Scott, weren't you part of the group that came to St. Louis years ago when I put on that weekend TA seminar?

Ray might want to try again I have no problem viewing the charts. If there is some problem perhaps there is another way to post them.

                              Hi Doug

Looking forward to exchanging ideas and having a few laughs along the way. We had a good group of traders over at the old EI Board but unfortunately the forum deteriorated rapidly due to a couple of wayward souls. We were quite tolerant there but things got to be somewhat extreme. Anyway looking forward to posting here in the future.

Thanks for the welcome and best in your trades.

Scott welcome....great to have you aboard as I've always enjoyed your market commentary and balanced approach.

That was sad to see Carson Palmer go down with the ACL tear early in the game...otherwise I think the Bengals would have given Pittsburgh a run this year.
