Guest repliedA few things telling me we're in trouble.....the RTH is breaking out a large symmetrical triangle which tells me the consumer is in trouble.....treasuries are getting a flight to quality bid, I thought at first this would help equities and that's not working....the Nasdaq comp is breaking a four year trendline....the Dow Jones is still not where it can bounce...the IWM broke back into the channel but is high on the channel still.....Look at LOW....nice projections and earnings yet new lows for the move.....this market is looking for a recession, IMO.

Guest repliedI still expect the 10 year treasury to reach 4.8% yield by the early part of June.....Dance around there for short period, then start heading higher into 6.5% by next summer.

Guest repliedGold stocks might be bounce candidates....going to watch GG...
In general, many indexes are in the weekly channel and can drop much more just to reach the bottom rail of their respective channels.....ie the dow jones.

Guest repliedI am not so certain about that, as Dell has been talking to gamers, too, well after the AW purchase.Originally posted by DStecklerThat's why they purchased Alienware. It was cheaper to buy them then develop competing hardware (Alienware's systems were favored by gamers over the XPS systems).
I think that the AW purchase might have had more to do with a way to introduce the AMD chip into their systems, without trouble with Intel.
As we see a continued shift in the XPS system configurations and the fact that Dell seems to be very interested in reviews of the XPS system within the gaming community, I suspect that this is a two-pronged approach rather than leaving AW to deal with it alone.
Edit: Looks like Dell now has AMD chips.Last edited by Guest; 05-19-2006, 01:51 PM.

Guest repliedTLT....I was just a day or so early on this trade.....Looking for a move up to 87 into next week.....I think this will allow for a snap back rally in the equities.....But, it's just a short opportunity.

They are going after the gaming market with a lot of focus, from what I understand.
M. Dell has talked with some members of the gaming community about what Dell needs to offer to make them their computers a viable gaming machine. So, that could work out very well for them.
