I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Register for free and you'll be able to post messages on this forum and also receive emails when $$$ MR. MARKET $$$ makes his own trades. ($$$MR. RIO Sold ==> 78 Consecutive winners for $$$MR. MARKET$$$
With 78 consecutive profitable trades, Mr. Market, you are bigger than huge.
Looking forward to your next pick, only wish I would have found this site months ago.
These accolades are giving me the feeling of being in the studio audience of Cramer's Mad Money show....If I were Mr. M and just closed out my 70+ winning trade in a row, I wouldn't be working....Heck, I am not working now and I have never won 70+ in a row.....I am not saying the emperor has no clothes, but I'll believe 70 wins in a row when I see audited results.....no one wins them all. I'll predict this, that groundhog group won't be winners cuz the market's topped and his holding period is six weeks.

That's kind of a ridiculous statement, given that there are hundreds of members in this group who have seen me post these trades, one at a time over the last few years. Stick around son, you might learn something. Anyone want to vouch for my "audited results"?

After I finished reading half of his statement, there was an unmistakable background sound. That sound was his mind "slamming shut." Beyond that point, there was no reason to carry on the discussion.
If one wishes to ignore easily verifiable facts, future conversations are a waste of time.
Sorry, but the odds just don't stack up in favor of a claim of 79 winning trades.....And really Mr M, even if it's true, what's the purpose of boasting about it? In all seriousness, all it does is potentially lead the unintiated to scrap their own due diligence for blindly following an opinion. I personally wouldn't want that on my conscience no matter how studied the opinion is.....But good luck with #80.
And here's all of the documentation of the first 44...
There have been several requests from traders on this forum to see documentation of the trades in my streak. I have decided to formally document my incredible streak of 44 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. You know when ESPN did that graphic to show all of Barry Bonds’ 73 home run swings? Pretty cool, right?
For historical purposes, I felt it important that I show the documentation for all of my trades as they were posted on the internet (most of them on Yahoo message boards). These posts validate the time stamps when I entered the positions in real time. This is clear evidence that I am, in all likelihood, the greatest stock picker on the planet. For you perfectionists, some of the buy prices in the message may not match up to the prices in the table on the account of the fact that the stock may have split after my purchase. Also, since some of the tickers for these companies no longer exists, the associated message board was deleted and there is no record available on the internet of my analysis for these companies. So here they are:

Jim,
A little clarification should help you see what's happening here. MM holds his picks until they hit his 15% target. If you check out his portfolio page, he holds a few picks from a year ago that haven't yet hit his goal of 15% profit. The most notorious is BEL. This one almost fell completely off the screen. Fortunately, it bounced around $2.50 and has since almost doubled to $5. Still his target is something like $24, and I don't expect it to hit anytime this week.
He just sold QSII, and he held it longer than 6 weeks. Likewise RIO, and some others.
As for an audit, I think you should just scroll back through the list of posts and find stock after stock that he has picked, and sooner or later, collected a 15% royalty for buying the stock. I have been here since #53, so I have seen him pick, buy and sell a lot of winners. I came in April, '04. Jiesen always rides with MM. Ask him about the verity of MM's claims.

Oh I see, here I thought his holding period was limited to six weeks....He's going to hold till they return 15%???....LOL, those aren't trades, those are investments!!!....I could get a chimp to throw darts at a board and get the same winning percentage...LOL....hehehehehehe, this is too much.....and you all wait for his next pick like retirees staring at the mailbox for the next social security check....hahahaha.
Ok, it was all good for a laugh....I'll stick with real traders like Dave and Rob....Now I know why Mr M still has a job.

Here are some relevant details from his personal web page at http://hometown.aol.com/ebarsamian/. His method produces high annualized gains from momentum stocks which not any picker can do.
"I developed a stock-picking model when I was in graduate school to take advantage of the bullishness the market was exhibiting at the time. The premise was to invest in high beta stocks while trying to limit my downside exposure in the event of a stall or downturn. By using the quantitative steps in the model, stocks are selected that are experiencing sustainable price momentum. Over the years, my model has evolved to make it more effective and easier and easier to use by anyone. The model is a multistep screening and high-grade process that goes something like this:
13. Use your noodle. You've put all of these great stocks through the ringer to figure out which one is the best. Look at these Top 5 and decide which one you like the best, having taken all these factors into consideration, plus fundamental analysis associated with any events that may not be baked into these revenue, earnings or valuation numbers.
14. Buy the stock you like best. In a typical bull market, the stock will, on average, achieve a 15% gain within 4 to 6 weeks. Sell the stock and repeat the process. Why sell so soon? Well there are ever changing phenomena going on in the market that could make your selection criteria quite different a month after the signals told you to buy this stock. The theory here is that you are selling a potentially "tired" stock and trading it for a "fresh" one.
What this process is trying to do is to select a hot growth stock that has a little more juice left in it to get you that last 15% without being so hideously overvalued that it could drop like a rock. I don’t think I need to buy stocks with extended valuations to make a quick profit. There are stocks out there with good momentum that aren’t bad to hold if I make a wrong decision. I think my model finds them. My model has been successful in protecting me from real lemons. Preservation of capital is always important. Buying companies with real earnings protects me in the down markets. We all work hard for our money. It makes no sense to give it away. That’s why I believe it’s important to buy stock in companies with real earnings. "
"I could get a chimp to throw darts at a board and get the same winning percentage...LOL"
I think you know better than that. >80% correct is a far cry better than randomness. hehehehe... You're talking about your typical mutual fund manager, right?
Jim.....dude......what's the deal today? Upsetting senior members, now the host...... where are your manners dude? How about you do some research at this site before you go casting shadows and speaking trash?
MM, seems like the last batch of newbies are intent on causing a ruckus and mixing up the harmony of the place.....but it's that kinda world so what can ya do?? Abuse 'em, ignore 'em, ban 'em, I dunno.
