Hi everyone, my name is Mike. I can be found on Yahoo! as well under peanuts_getcha_peanuts_here (yahoo chat also). Today, I was invited by mrmarket to join this discussion forum. I think he found me at FRGB. I am a current shareholder, but a very small amount is all that I own at this time.
I'm not familiar with how this forum opperates for now, so for a while, I'll most likely be an observer.
My investing style at this time is a strong focus on junior miners (copper, gold, silver, lime, and zinc) and nearly 90% of my portfolio is micro and small caps. I'm getting KILLED today! But that's the way it goes, I guess, when you mess with the volitiles. Normally, I only buy value companies (pos earnings), but I have been known to take a risk (and an occasional plunge) into some companies with great stories.
I normally keep about 5 K for some "quick money" investing as well- you know, the high risk, high return pennys that move on news and volume. I just got out of 2 of them yesterday with a nice 14% and 56% gain, so today isn't that bad.
I look forward to the discussions.
