Syracuse has taken UCONN to overtime on ESPN. Great game if you can get away from what you're doing for a minute.

Sorry to throw cold water on all this, but these highly ranked teams in the power conferences seem to conveniently lose these first round games of their conference tournaments.
You get lots of rest and you still get a high seed in the big dance.=============================

Syracuse is one of the best at being an unheralded unranked team that comes out of nowhere to win the big games. They are always prepared and ready for the upset in these big games. It couldn't happen to a better team for me than U Conn right now. Boheime gets them up for these types of games. Park, there goes U Conn.Originally posted by grebnetIt got us into NCAA tourn. new rule...if you get bounced in the first round of your conference tournament, you don't get to go the big dance..
That will wake up some teams I think.=============================

I don't think so. I think that the NCAA tourney selection committee knows that UConn didn't have nearly as much to play for as SU did. A few days ago, 'cuse just lost by over 40 points to Seton Hall, was it? This is the problem with these end of season league tournaments. They only help underdogs who win the tourney, but don't hurt a losing top seed that much.Originally posted by skiracerPark, there goes U Conn.

Here are my #1 seeds: U Conn / Villanova / Duke / MemphisOriginally posted by ParkTwainI don't think so. Could they give Gonzaga a top seed? Park do you really believe that U Conn didn't want or care if they won the Big East tournament championship and thus didn't have as much to play for as Syracuse. I think that championship banner means a whole lot of prestige to whoever wins it. That loss has to sting a whole lot.THE SKIRACER'S EDGE: MAKE THE EDGE IN YOUR FAVOR
