    Another March Madness Contest

I propose another March Madness contest in addition to the "upset contest" on the original March Madness thread. It's simple, just pick one winner each round. It doesn't have to be an upset. You could even play it safe by picking a #1 over a #16 seed to start. But as the numbers dwindle down, the picking will get more difficult. You even can have the same pick as a fellow contestant, however, the catch is one wrong pick and you're out of the contest. I'll keep track of the results. Will the top stock pickers also be the best basketball winners pickers?

To start off I'll take Duke over Southern, sounds easy so far. No holding out until the final round . You've got to pick each round so everyone is on a level playing field. Post your picks. Thanks. As a tie breaker, you'll get extra credit if you pick an underdog. This credit will only be added in if there are multiple players that make it thru to the finals undefeated.

            Good idea

I'll take Memphis. You should have a rule that says you can't take the same team twice during the tournament. That's how the suicide pools work during the NFL season. That would get people to shy away from the #1 and #2 seeds early. You would need to save them for later.

            Thanks.

              buckhunter,
Good idea but what would keep a person from switching from one #1 to another and then to all the #2 seeds.

Nothing would stop a guy from going from one #1 seed to another. But if you think the four #1 seeds would make the Final Four, you wouldn't have anyone to pick because you'd used them up.

                  Does that make sense?

From here on and forever I propose you can't choose the same team twice except if you already picked one before 11:33 EST in which case you chose it in good faith prior to this new rule . So, you can choose that same team only one more time before the tournament is over with, as per the thoughts of Ole Buckhunter and his cogent thoughts regarding this matter. GO QUAKERS !
