    Lye,
Not that his opinion means anything , but while castrating his little rubber bulls , Cramer said that CATT and DEERE are bargains now. Does that translate into GEHL being a bargain?

    Lye,
I was confident with my one banking stock until watching that video.
Have been doing some research on GEHL and would need more convincing to buy it. Here's the positives and negatives I see.

    GEHL POSITIVES ------------- GEHL NEGATIVES

Earnings projected +19% -------------Sales Growth 2%
Rated at below ave. risk -------------Barchart says sell
Rated at undervalued -------------Vectorvest says sell
Chairman is a "Gehl" -------------Chart trending down
Oil Sands Ex-Tractor -------------Lack of new products

This video [the first one](from the Columbia skit party as far as I can tell) is the funniest thing I have ever seen produced by economists. The person singing in the video is pretending to be Glenn Hubbard who was one of the leading candidates to be the Chair of the Federal Reserve, but the job was instead given to Ben Bernanke.

[Correction, added May 5: Apparently this video was done by MBA students for their skit party, not by PhD students. I guess that explains why it is so good!]

    NRPH (short)

I've been short selling NRPH this morning.... Shares are a little hard to get but they are available.

Wish I would have jumped on it three days ago when Spike said it looked ready....

    Gehl

    Lye,
Sorry that my post about GEHL wasn't clear. I was not intending to imply that you still owned GEHL. What I was intending to do was to instruct the readers here that when they see a gap up after a long run, that very often is the sign of a top, or at the very least, a pause in the run. I did not intend to make any comment about your trading. And the reason I posted the GEHL chart was that when I read about you wanting to buy at $28, I looked at the chart to see if I, too, might want to enter here, and when I did that, I noticed the topping action and thought that the chart would be helpful for the readers. I apologize. I should have posted it over on Hot Pick of the Day.

    Darts

BillyJoe, now that you mention it, they do look like darts.

So I guess that's a dart board behind him? I thought it was the old style Japanese flag, sending some sort of an esoteric message or something.

Isn't that a dart that Ray Long hurled in anger at his last press conference ?

Edit: p.s. Who's that on your avatar? Bernanke? Why are there some kind of large flying insects mating on the side of his head?

Selling a position.... Building a position

I started to sell GEHL shortly after you posted that Spike. I sold 80% of my shares above $39.50 (with limit orders) over a few days.... I closed the position on 4/21 and posted it here....

I will build my new GEHL position the same way.... Gradually.... I started buying below $28.50 yesterday and I will patiently build this new position over the next few weeks. I don't expect a huge rally right now but I do suspect the stock has bottomed or nearly bottomed ( I have limit buy orders in place down to about $28 now). I still like GEHL's business and they are manufacturing at max capacity and looking to further grow. I think the stock is worth $50.
