    Immigrant protests and the market

Anybody affected by the immigrant protests today? (Using the term immigrant loosely of course).

Is this a good time to short the meat, casino, hotel, restaurant industries?

I live in South Dakota, where there aren't a lot of Mexicans, be it legal or illegal. For me, there has been no change whatsoever in my day today. Although, as someone who will get a BA in Political Science in two weeks, its pretty interesting.

I had to do a lot of driving today...The freeways were pretty empty...Heard that there were 60,000 to 600,000 protesting in Downtown LA and later the Wilshire District,,,Seems like a pretty wide range to me...Think I'll go on record as saying the Naz will close tomorrow from -100 to +100 points...I'll bet Lye's life on it in fact...IIC

Doug, I think the decreased traffic may have more to do with the increasing fuel prices than the Mexican boycott. This is one aspect of high gas prices that I don't mind.
