    That's Too Bad

First, I must tip my hat to Mr. Market for a fine site. I am a financial professional that has been lurking here over well over 2 years. As a registerd rep, I am prohibited from posting to pages like this, so this will be my one and only post. (BTW- I know of at least a dozen brokers from 3 different firms that check this site out).
I am not about to go down the path with Adman and Stockboy, other than to say that Adman did have some decent ideas.
I will share with you, how I think he was able to come up with 85 double digit gainers in 2 months: Under covered stocks.
I looked at all his picks, and only 8 had more than 6 analyst covering them. The majority had thin or no analyst coverage.
How do you find stocks like these?
Look at sectors, check out the recent movers, and then do a peer group comparison, and research the stocks that do not haveheavy coverage by the major houses. Funny thing about these guys (Adman/Stockboy), they did what they did, very well, and it was getting notice by some of the street (no kidding!).
This is too much of a coincidence for me, but within 2-3 days after an unknown stock was posted here by them (tongue in cheek), if there was merit, it would appear on the watch list of an independant broker dealer I know of. Truth.
I am not here to condone or defend this guy, but, I am here to tell you how (I think) he made such great calls on his stocks to watch.
I will be signing off now, and not returning, so good luck to everyone, and I must add my disappointment to what happened, as I too, was a fan of the picks.

      It was about you

      Doug,
Don't you realize that that post was all about you? Those guys are watching your scans and playing them for profit. Yeah, I am sure that MM's picks are an interest, too, but you are posting 20 picks a day. And they sure aren't interested in my Cans

Forgive us, but we get a bit blasé with all these financial bigwigs on our board. Nice idea, though.

It was my post that started all the hoopla initially. I still stand by giving alittle more in the way of analysis with anything that anyone throws out there. But to each his own. On the other hand after the fact I PM'ed the
Adman kind of apologizing for making something out of nothing an asking him in an honest straightforward way to reconsider and stay on the forum. He never responded to that private message. That was before he was found out to be a complete asshole an I could get alot worse in expressing my feelings about the guy. Personally I would like to meet him in person sometime to express my real feelings. He's not worth the consideration or the time to even think about him now that he is gone. Good ridance to a complete asshole an a condesending fool.

Maybe we are jumping to conclusions here...OK, Karel discovers that Adman and Stock Boy are using the same ISP. Maybe they work for the same company and Maybe they share the Company's ISP and Maybe they work 20 floors apart and Maybe they don't even know each other and Maybe it is all just a bizzare coincidence???

              Maybe???

That's giving him way to much leeway and wiggle room. I thought the guy had a number of pretty decent picks but nothing anymore outstanding than any number of stocks that get mentioned here every week an that produce great gains. I wasn't that impressed especially with the analysis. "That's to Bad" just might be another one of his buddies or one in the same coming in from a different address. Just another coincidence without a name all of a sudden.

Adman just called me and wants Websman's phone number.... Seems he desires to be in the "inner-circle" of The VTP now..... So Ed, I just gave him your number instead. This is your first assignment as the official VTP inner-circle Hatchet Man.... "Handle" Adman for us please. Use your own discression as to what "handle Adman" means.... OH!.... and if you happen to see "The Stock Boy" tell him Webs asked about him.

                      Lye,
Stock Boy PM'ed me and said he wants to be the, "inner circle". When I mentioned Webs name and that he asked for him Stock Boy got all giggly.
I heard Adman has left the country for the Baja Peninsula an is hiding out down there with some Yaqui indians. Something about wanting to become a medicine man an a man of knowledge. I have my sources looking for him and will keep you posted.

Ski...I was joking...But at least he answered my pm's...except the last one...But I figure that Maybe he got banned before he could respond??? So Maybe he never saw it???

The way I figure it...He was pretty good on stock picking...I figure that Maybe he put together the Stock Boy thing to build his rep...Why???...Probably because he had a paid subscription thing in mind...Maybe...it was his advertising plan???...And Maybe...that's why his moniker was Adman. Maybe he thought it was a good advertising strategy.

And Definitely it was not a good strategy...Doug(IIC)

The Stock Boy was much smarter than ADman. It was insensitive to ban The Stock Boy.... ADman should have been banned.... cause his picks were a bunch of after the fact junk!.... Maybe ADman had a moniker on his back.

Well, with what I hear about sensitive guys on this board, especially from you, Lye, perhaps that is meant as a compliment?

I agree with $$$Mr.Market$$$: some time down the road, this will be just one of those episodes on the board. To explain what probably needs no explaining: whether Adman and Stockboy were one or two persons, as board users they were in collusion. They were creating credibility for each other (sometimes overdoing it, in retrospect). Reason enough for a ban.

And I could hardly ban Adman, as he already had left the board in a huff.

                            Regards,
