    Conspiracies

    lemonjello, LOL That's funny stuff!

Some of those conspiracy theories are out of this world. I read several books on 'em years ago and came to the conclusion that they are largely wild speculation based on a kernel of truth.

If anyone wants to investigate some of the claims, here are a couple of key terms linked to Google searches.

    Bilderberg
    Illuminati
    Knights Templar
    Prieur de Sion

And I would recommend A. Ralph Epperson's The Unseen Hand as a really good read for people who like that kind of stuff.

                It's Out There

Oh there's no doubt about it. The book Holy Blood Holy Grail, by Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln has one of the best-researched histories of the Knights Templar I've ever seen, with photos of the castles they used to inhabit, their ancient gravestones with the Templar emblems carved on them. In that book the Knights Templars are largely credited with the founding of the modern, commercial banking system. About nine tenths of that book is just excellent, superb history, and then at the end the authors make a few HUGE leaps in logic (based purely on supposition) and arrive at the conclusion that Jesus Christ was married to Mary Magdalene and has a living bloodline today. That is patently absurd, but I think a lot of people believe it, and no offense to any here who may.

Adam Weishaupt's Illuminati really exists too, as do the Bilderbergers, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, and yes, even George Bush's Skull & Bones Society is a reality. All of those groups and many others like them are out there. It's just really wild to read all the claims made about them. And again, while I don't doubt ALL the claims, I do doubt an awful lot of them. I think we all know that we each have in our pockets dollar bills with Masonic symbols on the backs, the pyramid with the "all-seeing eye" above it, and under which is a banner with the inscription "Novus Ordo Seclorum," Latin for "New World Order." I mean, come on. How did that get there?

                "There's a new breeze blowing."—George H. W. Bush

                "Beware the government-media complex."—Michael Savage
