Are you Good ,Lucky , or Gifted ?

This must relate to stock picking in some way. According to statisticians , when given a 50 - 50 chance for success , a success rate above 50% is just luck , over 63% , especially if it can be repeated , shows an unexplained psychic gift.

Mr. Market may very well be gifted unless his selection process makes his chance for success above 50% which it probably does , however, he may still be gifted. What does that say for my 12 consecutive losers picked for the POTW ? It seems beyond chance . What is the opposite of gifted ? Don't answer that.

It doesn't. Trading successfully over a long time period takes skill, not luck. It's also important to remember that the most important skill in trading is knowing when to sell (money management), not when to buy.

I know people who can fall in a pile of sh#! and come out smelling like a rose everytime . Never have been able to figure out why. Reminds me of the time a bird crapped on me at a football game. The lady next to me said "they sing for most people".
