Billie easier fo me to go to a market

Just picked the first 3 quarts of strawberries. You can't imagine how good they are. Heat wave brought them on fast. Until a few days ago it was in the 40's at night, now it's in the 90's during the day. Still getting ready to plant celery. If it stays this hot, celery will be no good.

Billie the soil in my backyard is very rocky .....I go to an upscale market called the "market basket" all the produce there is outrageous ......for 3.99 I can get a quart of delicious large strawberries......the only thing I can't buy is a good tomato . My dads's at his house were the best ......he grew the NJ beefsteak tomatoes using dehydrated sheep manure and several other fetilizers ......the tomatoes were absolutely delicious ......the ones I buy taste like card board . The best tomatoes I discovered are the small gold ball sized tomatoes sold at costco in a plastic box ......asolutely delicious ..a COMPARI label is on the box.

Lie Detector

Lie Detector Robot:

John was a salesman's delight when it came to any kind of unusual
gimmick. His wife Marsha had long ago given up trying to get him to
change. One day John came home with another one of his unusual
purchases. It was a robot that John claimed was actually a lie
detector.

It was about 5:30 that afternoon when Tommy, their 11 year old son,
returned home from school. Tommy was over 2 hours late.

'Where have you been? Why are you over 2 hours late getting home?'
asked John.

'Several of us went to the library to work on an extra credit project,'
said Tommy. The robot then walked around the table and slapped Tommy,
knocking him completely out of his chair.

'Son,' said John, 'this robot is a lie detector, now tell us where you
really were after school.'

'We went to Bobby's house and watched a movie.' said Tommy.

'What did you watch?' asked Marsha.

'The Ten Commandments.' answered Tommy. The robot went around to
Tommy and once again slapped him, knocking him off his chair once more.

With his lip quivering, Tommy got up, sat down and said, 'I am sorry I
lied. We really watched a tape called Sex Queen.'

'I am ashamed of you son,' said John. 'When I was your age, I never
lied to my parents.' The robot then walked around to John and
delivered a whack that nearly knocked him out of his chair.

Marsha doubled over in laughter, almost in tears and said, 'Boy, did
you ever ask for that one! You can't be too mad with Tommy. After
all, he is your son!'

With that the robot immediately walked around to Marsha and slapped her
three times.

RETIREMENT IS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE

One day, while going to the store, I passed by a nursing home. On the
front lawn were six old ladies lying naked on the grass.

I thought this was a bit unusual, but continued on my way to the store.

On my return trip, I passed the same nursing home with the same six old ladies lying naked on the lawn.

This time my curiosity got the best of me, and I went inside to talk to the Nursing Home Administrator. 'Do you know there are six ladies lying Naked on your Front lawn?'

'Yes,' she said. 'They're retired prostitutes.



They're having a yard sale.'

Just wondering . . . . .


Where are all of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for
help in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?

Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal
government hasn't solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks and
trailers are?

Why isn't the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to free hotels in Chicago?

When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees
that failed in Des Moines?

Where are Sean Penn and the Dixie Chicks?

Where are all the looters?

Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete with reports of
cannibalism and shooting at helicopters?.

Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates rural people?

How come in 2 weeks, you will never hear about the Iowa flooding ever again?

Two weeks ago, 5 moronic bastards on the Supreme Court (with 5/4 split decision) gave terrorists and enemy combatants captured trying to kill our soldiers on the battlefield, the same legal rights you and I have as US citizens!

In his dissenting opinion, Justice Scalia stated:
"It will almost certainly cause more Americans to be killed."

Think about it the idiocy of this ruling:
Enemies who are captured while trying to kill our soldiers and us are now innocent until proven guilty, but OUR soldiers who are fighting them (subject to our military law) are GUILTY until proven innocent.

What a way to fight a war. The ACLU and politicians in charge.
