    Earnings Turnarounds

This thread is for companies that have posted recent quarterly or yearly reports that show vast improvements from the previous year. Try to limit the contributions to companies that are drastically increasing their earnings each year or YOY quarter, or are reporting positive income over previous losses. Companies that report 1 time gains that are the main contributing factor for their earnings increase should also be avoided. And companies that are just reducing their losses should also be disregarded. Let's try to keep these as real turnaround stories... I'd say anywhere above a 25% increase in earnings from legitimate organic growth would be a good start.

Technical entries for the stocks can be discussed later, if there are any good possibilities.

      addition to the list

Office Depot, ticker ODP, has been added to the list as of today.

They reported earnings from cost cutting measures compared to a loss from last year's comparative quarter

This does not replace any of my top 5

I'll post the rest of the list tonight.

LOGC is maintaining it's ground today, on a tough market day... I may add to my position if it takes out today's high.

Anyone else have some ideas? I think that this is one of the best ways to make some really good money in the next quarter and year (if future reports are as good) For example, USLM made this screen for me way back in 2003, when it traded for $4-$5... it now trades at $30-$35 This is because earnings have continued to grow and the company continues to grow with it.

disclaimer: I have not owned USLM since $4-$5, my first position was taken at $9 when I first knew about the steel industry turnaround. I've traded in an out of it since that time.
