    Peanuts,

Is it the same CBR that threw my widowed grandmother with 10 hungry mouths to feed off the farm and into the street with only the clothes on their backs? Then poured salt on the crops and penned the cattle in small airtight enclosures ? It's probably not the same guys. I thought you were your old man's most valuable employee and heir to the family business. What gives? At least demand your own cubicle.

      To clear things up:

My family does not own the business, my father started the US operations of the business in the 90's. He's not the owner, just the operator of a unit of the whole. I've always been graded against company-wide results, not what I did for my dad. I know that there's always something bigger out there... maybe not as cozy, but something that might be more exciting and challenging without the family stuff in the mix. I am not "heir to the throne," but I know that I've got it pretty good right now But...

meeting at 6:00- not interested. Especially not interested after they finished telling me what they did with this one old lady and her 10 kids. And, the one fella kept talking about his affection of cows, but he would say, "bOvine"

I wasn't reaaaalllly saying goodbye to the steel industry

        Peanuts,

I can't believe they admitted it. Maybe they have changed their ways after all it was 120 years ago.

I heard their employees paychecks have been bouncing. That their retirement fund is bogus and that their employee health plans doctors are located offshore the continental US. Optical and dental plans are only served by physicians in Tijuana. Other than that they seem to be a sound and reputable company. I hope everything works out well for you.

Spike, dude (I don't know where else to write to you since you don't use your thread anymore) I see that you changed your opinion of SWHC from short to long on your blog. Today's action was very good for the longs- congrats! Why didn't you tell me that you changed your mind? I still like it short, so I moved my stop a little higher so I don't get kicked out of the position without giving the down move a chance. I think that I might take it short next week for my POTW pick

I was able to close my short position in SIM with the morning move down. By averaging up, I was able to get out with a gain. Then I heard the news about the possible US Steel buyout... I knew that was going to move the steel stocks. The PSI ended up 1.58% for the day, and 37.07% for the year. GNA hardly moved...

Severstal is going to either buy a big player, or get acquired itself. That is its only option for growth. This US Steel buyout rumor doesn't surprise me, but I doubt it will go through. I would not be afraid to speculate on an increased bid for WPSC by SID in the next month...
