Nothing is selling here anymore. All you have to do is drive around and see the "for sale" signs to see whats happening with the housing market.

Wow, a burst of activity in this thread I see, peanuts! lol

If you're looking for followers you're really in the wrong place, peanuts. FWIW I make a point of checking your thread out dude....anyone that doesn't is missing some good ideas. As far as recognition goes, the smart cookies get recognized when deserved......and I think you're a smart cookie. The idiots will take most opportunities to cut you down and discourage....all for other motives imo. And I see that Stinky Steckler is at his best again....

Peanuts, you're a very good stock-picker. Chin up and ignore the crap. Then ignore the emotion you feel. Emotion is a killer in the markets, and if one doesn't attempt to control the emotion in one's personal life, how can one do it with trading?

I really do echo some of Ski's sentiments ....

Salient comment, Ski, and your post was full of other good stuff about leadership and recognition.

Well I challenge you to give more of yourself and step outside your comfort zone. Think of it as volunteer work for the needy

Yep, I agree that peanuts has proven himself as being able to find stocks that move in a favorable bias. His next challenge in life might just be to overcome his emotional "needs". A vulcan would never have this kind of trouble

To finish, I'm enjoying the thread, peanuts. Thanks for sharing, dude.

Peanuts...I think you are a good guy and a good stockpicker...But get over this "following" thing.

I don't think anyone here is in search of a leader anyway. But, you'd probably be surprised at the number of people who read posts, but never post themselves, get ideas and sometimes use them w/o a peep.

Over the years I've received some emails that basically said something like this..."I've been reading your posts at ____________ for over 2 years...thanks for the ideas" Signed, "Somebody I never heard of"

In fact, I'd say the majority of forum members at most forums are readers only. When I moderated the Yahoo Canslim Stock Picks Group there were hundreds of members that received every post by email that never posted themselves.

          Best, Doug

I moved the money into NGA as it is making a strong move off of support. The initial position was established at $5.05
Huge call on NGA Peanuts!..... just HUUUGE!!!! Dude you're on a streak!

Everyone knows Peanuts is crazy, but he's a pretty darned good stock picker.... and that's all I care about.LOL!

Keep up the good work Peanuts.... and when you actually buy something in the future make it a distinct post so we'll see it dude! I had to search back and find where you actually bought NGA, it was mentioned at the bottom of a post about another stock (AEIS). Had I seen that you put your money on it I would have looked closer dude.

EDIT: Here's an idea! put a link in your signature that links us the posts of your most recent buys. Sometimes when the thread gets "off topic" it's easy to miss important posts.

                Peanuts,
If you have a really great pick, don't mention several other stocks with it. I'm more likely to check one out rather than many possibilities. You've got the hottest thread going here now.

                • Peanuts, I must say I'm impressed with what your doing on this thread. Your info is awesome. I often get frustrated at myself because I often have a hard time expressing myself through a computer. It seems over the last year I've gone on a rampage for nothing. Hey something I'll need to work out. Maybe I should have been a better student in school..hehe

You keep up the great work here and give me a call when you come back to Bama. It was great talking with ya a few weeks ago.

They have property directly above The Barnett Shale gas and oil formation in Texas. They have 6 operating wells (I think in Johnson County) and have just applied to drill a 7th. One of the biggest costs to running the type of lime operation that USLM has, is natural gas. They will not only have enough gas to use in their kilns, but also enough to sell on the market, with the reserves just barely being tapped currently- so more wells will continue to come on line. It's all in their quarterly and annual reports...
Thanks for your thorough explanation....not sure I agree with your assumptions on why USLM is weak though. When I was into this sector I would watch the 4 major players to see how the group was doing, they are
VMC, MLM, FRK and USLM. Since much of what they produce is linked to a strong, growing economy I am more inclined to think they're done as growth stocks for a while and should drift lower. But now that we're onto this subject, I'm going to take a fresh look at them.

I don't have a very high opinion of the "No child left behind act". Schools don't teach the basics anymore...

Lye, I enjoy being "crazy" There could be no other way...

I'll think about the link idea... right now I'm not too enthusiastic about it. I do a lot of trading, so my portfolio is usually changing on a daily basis. I would be doing a lot of updating. What I have been doing is posting the way I'm entering and exiting positions... like AEIS and VG posts. (thank God I followed my own advice on VG, and did not buy)

I think that what I would like to do, instead, is to get a list of people that want to know what I'm buying/shorting/selling/covering, and send them private messages when I make the moves. I'll continue to post my MOMO picks entries and exits on this thread, and any ideas I have, but I'd like to keep some privacy to my portfolio plays.

If you want to be on the list, just send me a private message
