    Anybody Tried Timing Cube?

Has anyone tried the Timing Cube market timing service which is advertised psuedo-periodically on the right hand side of the page underneath the picture of our leader (still wish he'd get rid of the picture of the two guys taking a leak)?

Seems like for $39.95 a month it might be worth it unless they are out and out liars. (Of course I thought the same thing about my HSOA options.)

Louetta...They are all liars...Think about it...The only sites that are even remotely worth it are the sites that give you data/info which allow you to make your own decisions....Save your money for my Christmas present...Doug

It makes sense that I wouldn't be the first one to discover a service that works, with all the people interested in stocks if some easy method worked we'd all soon know it and everyone would quickly flock to it.

        Louetta,
www.morpheustradinggroup.com. Take their free 1 month trial to their stalk sheet/wagner daily combo. After the 1st month it's $129 a month for the two. The Wagner Daily is strictly ETF's and the Stalk Sheet gives two/three picks a day with the plan, entry and exit triggers, and stops for each play. If you follow their plays there is no way that you won't make the price of the subscription several times over every month. But you must be disciplined and follow their lead regarding the entries and stops. My latest play, AEM, came from them. Plus their ETF selections do phenomenally well. Just check it out. The education of following the lead guy, Deron Wagner, is worth it alone for developing a discipline and strategies.

Gorilla trades make me think of this idea which I believe I've mentioned before:

I take my weekend IIC Killer Watch List

I give you a price target for each pick...say 2% over what it is at

You buy it if it hits the target on at least 1.5x ADV

You set a 5% Trailing stop until I post that it is a sell or you get stopped out

You pay me $100 for each pick...If it doesn't reach the target on 1.5x ADV+ or if it does and you lose money then I send you your $100 back

I don't believe there is any service that offers that kind of guarantee...YOU CAN'T LOSE!!!

                Dave,
Did you take the free trial or subscribe to either service? I've been subscribed for almost two years and have had phenomenal success with their picks. I don't make them all but the ones I do trade, and there are plenty, have done very well for me. Alot of it depends on how you manage the trade and if you honor their stops or your own once in the position and if you manage the winners correctly. Without a subscription how would you know how their model is doing without knowing their trades.
BTW I saw your name in the letters to the editor page of Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities Magazine. You are the President of the American Association of Professional Technical Analysts. Pretty decent title Dave and I'm sure it's an accompolishment but that doesn't mean that you're making money. I know plenty of guys who think of themselves as professionals and as far as I'm concerned couldn't pour piss out of a boot. I would put my own record and certainly Deron Wagner's up against them anytime. But that's what makes a horse race.

I was commenting on Morpheus' track record, Ski. On a risk-adjusted basis their stock model is not doing much better than the market. For someone who doesn't live in front of a quote machine swing trading or scalping for nickles, an index fund will work just as well.

"Professional," as in being paid to use TA to manage money for others. Yes, I'm making money for them. Fortunately for me, they've been quite happy with their returns over the years <VBG>.

AAPTA is an interesting organization, with a membership currently standing at 101 and growing. Admission requirements are quite stringent. Perhaps you've heard of Larry McMillan and Richard Arms (Mr. TRIN)? They're members. So is Linda Raschke (she's the VP) and Louise Yamada. I'd estimate that about 20% of the members are hedge fund managers and yes, they can pour plenty of piss out of boots.

If you played my POTW picks faithfully each week, you'd be up 62.93% (minus cost of trading) to date this year.

The irony is, my real portfolio isn't doing nearly that well.

That's why I always own my POTW plays.

                        Time to switch strategies, long-termer?

You forgot to deduct the short term cap gains tax of 30%...

That's damn good, Rob. The intitutional portfolios and the hedge fund I manage (from the most aggressive to the least aggressive styles) are up YTD 62.48%, 37.78%, and 10.30%, before fees. Of course, past peformance is no guarantee of future results.
