    Holiday Spending On Gifts

I thought it might be interesting to know if people are intending to spend more, less or about the same on Holiday gifts and presents this year compared to how much they spent last year?

I will be spending less...Not for any particular economic reason, but last year I went overboard at the jewelry shop...Let's see how the retailers will do?

    Thanks for participating..."Have a Coooool Yule"!!!...Doug(IIC)

So can I assume that only 11 of us are buying gifts and 2000 are not buying anything for anyone?

I have had another great year in both the markets and my businesses. I also turned 62 this year and am blessed by Jesus and the Lord with great physical and mental health. A couple of my nieces told me yesterday at a family function that if I weren't their uncle they would be checking me out. I love my wife more than ever and she feels the same way about me. What more could a body ask for except to go on another 30 or 40 years like this. I want to share my good fortune with my family and friends by physically giving gifts that are neat and will be appreciated. But the best gift you can give to anyone is to praise Jesus in your prayers for them in their name that they may come to love and praise him as you do. That will do more for them than any gift will ever do. So make the commitment to spend a few moments at the end of each day in prayer for those you love and for those that are less fortunate than you that their lives will become as enriched as yours. That is the best gift that you can ever give to anyone. And you will continue to become enriched even moreso.

Poll is closed...11 outta 15 voted to spend less or about the same...I decided to start my Christmas shopping early this year so I went to 3 malls today...Parking was easy, no lines...it was great...For me anyway...Maybe not so great for the retailers...Doug(IIC)
