    Google's Dominance

Sorry I'm new here so if this is a post somewhere else, please let me know..

Anyways does anyone think Google will sustain it's great dominance of the market as far as ad revenue? It seems to be continuously innovating great new products. I see it almost as the Berkshire Hathaway of Tech...any other opinions on its run?

I like it. I think they will become ginormous and that smaller cottage businesses will step up and get some of the crumbs that break off, but otherwise their revenue streams look promising.

At this point, it's so inexpensive to place ads on the internet, it's hard for any small business to justify going elsewhere than Google.

Google is making it harder and harder for small businesses to advertise...they either ban most of your keywords or they make them cost prohibitive...Plus, if you advertise on Google adwords then they reduce the amount you get from google clicks by up to 80% from my experience...I stopped advertising with them last month. Then I read some articles about whet they are doing...The articles describe to a tee what they did to me...Doug

I think that Google does a much better job than any of their competitors. Yahoo! seems to sink more and more with each "upgrade" they make to their services. Google just keeps bolting on new products and aspects, and they are making smart acquisitions. How much did Yahoo! give to Mark Cuban?

The thing is, is that Google is HUGE in the US, primarily. Vehicles of this type of growth require expanded markets to fully mature. Unfortunately, or fortunately, Google is structured around the American society and culture. A Google user in India or China or Brazil may want a different format that is not offered by Google. These users will create their own or find a more suitable alternative.

Google's sustainability as the world giant of web search and ad revenue can continue to grow at the current rate through international expansion, only. The US potential is finite; surely not fully tapped, but certainly not the only market for Google.

It will be the manner in which Google continues to expand that determines their continued dominance. So far, they are proving to everyone that they can do it successfully.

I can't type fast enough to tell you all the things Google has done to me and my fellow small biz friends this year...But I got this ad in the mail from Microsoft Ad Center the other day...I'll check it out...At first glance I can get $100 in free clicks if I open up an ad account w/ only 5 bux using the Invitation Code they sent me... I think I'll give it a shot...Maybe MSFT will be more Client Friendly than those Arrogant Bastards that run Google???...Guess I'll find out.

Problem with Google is they forgot who made them(people like me)...I found them by accident on the Net when they were an incubator...I told everyone about them back then...Did I ever get a Thx Note...Nooooo

I would add that as the difference between their “do no harm” saying and their pliability about that saying will slowly become common knowledge and allow the possibility for other challengers.
