    Q: how to create bookmark/favorite

    Karel,

Is it possible to bookmark a post? Here is why I am asking:

From time to time I come across some really wonderful posts here and want to read them again later soms time. However, at a later time I have to search all the posts to just find the ones I like.

If I have a folder that could store those posts.

    Thank you.

    Mickey

ps. most of searches are the posts by RUNNER.

    Micky,
I just bookmarked your post and it worked like bookmarking any page.Whoops, maybe that was just because yours was the first post. I did it again and got my post also.

I went to page 101 on the POTW thread and bookmarked it...later when I clicked the bookmark it took me right to that page...Doesn't bookmark the exact post but it puts you on the right page...Doug

Now I've got all kinds of bookmarks and can't figure out how to get rid of them. Can you highlight a post and bookmark it?

You could create a Word Document and copy/paste the posts you want to save on it...Even the charts copy.

            billyjoe and Doug,

            Thanks for the ideas.

It is not the bookmark of a browser I had in mind. I know in some forums a member can create a fold to bookmark posts at their exact locations.

Don't know if this HUGE site has that.

I think Doug has a pretty good idea with the Word document. Even if you could bookmark every post that you wanted to it could become a large quantity to manage eventually. Make a new folder and copy and paste the posts you want to save to your documents and then move them into the separate folders of your choice. Then they are there and saved for when ever you want them and when you open the folder they would each be labelled accordingly. They would be out of the way and catagorized an easy to find.
Can't you just right click on them and delete them?

Go to FAQ above, and then scroll down to Reading and Posting Messages.
Click on this link. Scroll down to: “Are there any special codes/tags I can use to markup my posts? “

Find “For more information about vB code, click here” in the first “box”.

Scroll down to “Post Linking”. Here you will find the format to link to the exact post. Right click on the post, click on properties to see the post number.
