Peanuts please put me in UFPT long.
Ya, I was wondering about you this past week. China syndrome affected many people. Patron on me, dude.

Your pick for this week has inspired me.

This coming week's contest will be a fishing tournament... let's see who's bottom fishing, and who likes to play the top bait.

Me? Well, I've had to pull out the ol' dredge for this bad boy....

      Long CHAP

Congratulations, mino, dmk and river! And kudos for all who finished in the green!

Great timing, my decision to change strategies and revive my portfolios! BTW, I would still have been in PCCC, and PCCC was down 14.4%, so in that respect it really was a good decision (well, a less bad one).

I am still long CHAP, and will be for some time.

      Regards,

      Karel

I agree. I consider them high risk anyway since no telling what the Chinese government will do. They could change the rules on the fly.

I also used to dabble in the Canadian trusts but I was glad I wasn't in any trusts when the Canadian government announced tax changes. I know a lot of people that got hammered on November 1st. I just happened to be out of trusts at the time.

I'll stick with stateside companies that are international for awhile.

I like UFPT and have been accumulating. It has a very low float and it is tough to get shares. I did get shares on the big down day this week when someone bailed out. Picked up some at $4.50. They missed last quarter due to delay in military orders. The thing is that UFPT sells to the automotive industry and we all know what the auto industry has been doing in the U.S. Unfortunately they don't break down their sales by segment such as auto, military, medical, etc. They usually just release earnings with no pre-announcement. I'm guessing the announcement may be on March 23rd.

              • Kudos to anyone ending in the green during a killer week. Wow - picking STTS just before getting acquired, that's good timing. Interesting that it was jumping several days before the announcement. Hmmmmm ....

Peanuts, Start me in $CASH$ this week, please. And thanks again for the scorekeeping and the most excellent commentary. It was indeed quite prescient running a demolition derby this week!

Congratulations to mimo and dmk on huge 1st and 2nd, and to all those who ended up in the green! What a week!

My short, SOLF (Solarfun Power Holdings), is a Chinese company that was predicted to breakout last week. Luckily, when I saw what happened Monday, I was able to short it instead. Just dumb luck.

So, please start me in CAS$H until I get a feel for what the coming week will bring. Since we are going FISHING, hope I can live up to my Big Catch reputation! I'm goin' trolling for MUSKIE! LOL. Riverbabe

Will this be the week? Well, WILL IT?

I hope all is going well. You and Sticky are basically tied. So, who's it gonna be.. the Black or Red diamond on the yearly standings chart?

You still have about $850, which is more than Doug.
