I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Spike...doesn't really matter one way or the other to me...However, I think it says it is a stock at IB because it can be traded like a stock...for now anyway...But I'd say it is more akin to an option.
But then again, ETF's, although discouraged in the rules, are allowed...And they are not really stocks.
I say let Ski decide...That's one of the duties of the scorekeeper...Doug
Well I'm going to make Ski's job easy then. Having given it more thought (and seeing the nice weekly Cup and Handle breakout on MVIS) I am goint to take change my pick from the disputed MVISW to MVIS. Pete gave it an FA plug recently, and add all the other TA stuff, what's not to like?!
At first glance I would agree with Spike that his first choice is a valid pick. Warrants are very much like stocks and trade and move like a stock or ETF. Options are quite different in how they trade and move. I know the scorekeeper also takes on the responsibilities of making judgements in these instances but I would much rather see it happen just as it did here now. Discuss it amongst the players and let anyone that disputes a call or pick have their say. If a reasonable solution cannot be reached through give and take then I guess I will have to make the final decision but I don't want to do that here as someone always ends up on the short side of the answer. I don't want to wear that responsibility. In this case I would agree with Spike's first pick but since Spike has so admirably acquiesed to the uproar of the crowd it takes the heat off of Ski. Thanks Spike and everyone else for solving this dilemna for me and the rest of us. Here's the early morning sheet of the picks so far: Get in and get down we're coming up to the wire. Remember the 3rd PICK is available this coming Friday.
Wow...I converted Spike to become a Cup w/ Handler in just a week...What's next...Double Bottoms?
Your own recent & fine contributions to the MM audience on that very cool Cup n Handle pattern was just preachin' to the choir, Doug. But I nay want t' be detractin' from yer great reputation as one o' the most influencial pundits in cyberspace
And I be lookin' forward t' anything ye need share on Double Bottoms; fer it be a huge sail to hoist when th' time be right and th' bullish winds be supportin' such a fine pattern!
'Tis me longin' hope that one day ye be preachin' in a similar fashion about the green worth o' th' Fuzzy C!
LOL well I'll be taking that in the manner I'm sure it be delivered; in gest - but maybe ye are serious - perhaps ye have not dedicated time t' really see what th' fuzzy really is. Surely I've explained it sufficiently in th' last two years, and I know ye have read and seen many charts of th' fuzzy, Doug. Dasn't th' obvious jump from th' page to yer eyes??? What be th' problem wit' the comprehendin?....perhaps ye nay alone there though...
I believe that true understandin' comes t' our heads quicker with real-life examples and charts an' notations, an actual picture of th' pattern, which shows why it's so good, shows the risk, shows th' reward!? But have th' thousands o' fuzzy charts I've shared - and th' many statements about what it actually is - failed t' sufficiently demonstrate its nature an' force? By th' powers surely not! How many chart need ye see before some light fall upon yer cloudy eyes?
I guess I just canna hold th' attention o' a flottila long enough to smile in th' knowledge that most o' th' buddin' Captains are seein' what be as clear as the big beak on yer parrot's head, Doug? Ye have me cryin' in me whiskey bottle at th' wasted talent in ye, Doug!
Long ago I made a point of sharin' the real-life examples o' fuzziness when I see them, and I've described what it is and how one is t' be usin' it as an edge......but thar always be some that nay understand others in th' way intended....thar just be stumblin' blocks in th' process o' perceivin'. Which be explainin' t' us why so many people place IBD's list of stocks so far above yer own list, Doug. Thar be fools sailin' e'erywhere on th' oceans we share. It just be a matter o' makin' 'em stop sailin' their course for a few moments t' really look, t' really listen, and t' really hear! And if after hearin' and seein' they still think th' other list is better than yours then ye know they be complete idiots then, and ye can smile knowin' that nay a genius can make 'em see the truth.
Nay, I've not got work t' do to explain what th' fuzzy is; 'tis ye who have th' work to listen and see, me hearty. Th' pure thirst-quenchin' water is right there fer all who be thirsty fer it; will ye drink o' it? I guess it depends on how thirsty ye be and whether ye scared that th' liquid ye see is actually bilgewater. heh

Maybe if you spoke American I'd understand
BTW...who's the idiot that puts IBD's list ahead of mine anyway????
