THE STINGING SNAP OF A SNOW LADEN FIR BRANCH BROUGHT SKIRACER BACK TO MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN AND THE TASK AT HAND. TUCKING INTO A TIGHT CROUCH AND TURNING SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT HE SAW HER JUST OFF HIS LEFT SHOULDER AND RIGHT ON HIS REAR TIPS. IN ANOTHER INSTANT HE WAS GATHERING AIR AS THEY DROPPED OFF THE TOP OF A VERY STEEP AND DEEP GORGE. SHE WAS HANGING IN THE AIR RIGHT NEXT TO HIM, BOTH OF THEM 70 FT. AND FLAT OUT ABOVE THE CUSHIONY POWDER BELOW. SOMETHING ABOUT PIRATES, A WOMAN, AND A PINK BOA OF ALL THINGS CREPT INTO HIS MIND. WHAT WAS THAT SHE GAVE HIM LAST NIGHT. HE REMEMBERED THEY SPENT THE NIGHT TOGETHER AFTER THE DRINKING AND THE BAR STUFF. HE KNEW SHE WAS A RACER BUT FOR THE LIFE OF HIM HE COULDN'T REMEMBER HER NAME. HE NEVER COULD. THEY BOTH DROPPED INTO THE POWDER AND FROM THERE IT WAS NIP AND TUCK BEFORE HE EDGED ACROSS THE FINISH LINE A SPLIT SECOND AHEAD OF HER. ANOTHER VERY CLOSE WIN. HE FOUND HIMSELF ALMOST WISHING SHE HAD WON BUT NOT REALLY. HE FOUND OUT MUCH LATER THAT NIGHT THAT HER NAME WAS LOUETTA AND THAT SHE WASN'T SO MUCH CONCERNED ABOUT WINNING. SHE LEFT HER NUMBER AND HE LOST THE PAPER. MAYBE THEY'LL RUN INTO EACH OTHER AT TAHOE.
A GUY BY THE NAME OF NEWBORN FOUND HIS WAY TO SHARE THE PODIUM WITH THEM IN 3RD PLACE. A WOMAN NAMED RIVERBABE FINISHED IN 4TH. THERE WAS SOMETHING VERY FAMILIAR ABOUT HER.

Arh! That back-stabbing Skiracer! He warned me of Spikefader's lust for first place, and how that evil 'fader would step out of the shadows where he lurks, to thrust me through to take me gold bullion. As I watched that dark 'fader fall behind me, that duplicitous snake Ski ran me through for me first place prize. ARRRRRH!

Heck...We got BREAKOUTS coming out of the Ying Yang the last coupla weeks.

Geez...Where have I been???..I played CwH's regularly from the '70's till 2000...Now I love 'em again...Back to my roots I guess...What Goes around...Comes around.

Actually, it has only been 2 weeks (4 weeks for me tho because I didn't bring it up for 2 weeks after I decided to go for it)...Not a long time so not yet meaningful...But I'll tell ya...We all play them differently...But this has been very profitable so far overall...and much more relaxing than what I was doing on d/t's the last 3 years...Only time will tell...But I like it so far...Doug
