    LOL...

Anyway, I think you mentioned that you wouldn't be around much for a while because you have a big work project going on.

Too bad because I have to admit...I regularly checked out your Public Charts at Stockcharts.

Hope the project is going well...I'm going to have a busy summer at work myself....Doug

      And It's.....AAPL!!!

The Rev Shark's Stock of the Week

I'm quoting the Shark here (Karel, it's okay, it's his FREE stuff available at www.sharkinvesting.com). "Last week’s Stock of the Week was to short the market using SDS. That trade worked out quite well but we now have deteriorating technical conditions in the broad market which present some difficulties when it comes to finding a new Stock of the Week.

Although the market is in questionable shape we have to keep in mind that this is the final week of the second quarter and that means we are likely to see some window dressing. Window Dressing is the inclination of large funds to move some of their key positions higher to ensure that they end the quarter on a positive note and can show investors that they are holding the ‘best stocks’. Large cap, institutional favorites tend to be the most likely candidates for window dressing boosts.

With that in mind our Stock of the Week is Apple (AAPL). Not only is AAPL a likely window dressing beneficiary but it also is scheduled to release the much hyped iPhone on Friday June 29. The publicity over this phone should reach a crescendo this week with news stories about the lengths to which people go to be the first to own one. It could easily market a short term top as a ‘sell the news’ reaction kicks in but there definitely will be no shortage of hype surrounding the stock this week.

Between window dressing, the iPhone launch and a pretty decent chart we believe that AAPL is likely to see some upside pressure this week even if the overall market is showing signs of stress.

We will look to buy on a move over $125.25 and will keep stops tight."

It's funny how when everyone was dissing Steve Jobs as the crackpot, he was the one who turned out to be the visionary.

Bill Gates seems to be content with reading his press clippings. Just what has MSFT done in the last 5 yrs??????

Ernie, couldn't agree more. When it came to a high school graduation present for "my boy," heck, only considered an Apple notebook, not a Dell or Microsoft anything. Then of course, gave up on the idea in exchange for a (very slight used) Toyota Scion. For some strange reason, he preferred the wheels!!! River

Mon. night. Be patient, says his fishiness.

This by the Shark, "Apple (AAPL) our Stock of the Week, gained some early traction but reversed in the afternoon as the broader market cracked under worries about sub-prime debt. This stock is a play on the iPhone launch and end of the quarter window dressing and we will give it a couple days to prove itself. Keep a stop around the 120 mark and be patient."

                        river,
I know our age difference is slight, but would you consider adopting me? I'd like a sporty silver scion and I can offer a '93 taurus in trade. Think about it. All good decisions require much thought. Thanks

After a great deal of very intense thought, billyjoe Y, that's just not the way I picture you and me ...lol . And altho the taurus sounds like a good trade, it still drives like a Ford, right? And golly gee billyjoe Y, I've never been a "have you driven a Ford lately" person. But I would never come between a guy and his dream car! So, I am willing to foot a loan for you at an outrageous rate if you'd like? River
