    Ski, IIC, Spike et al.

Nice going Ski. I can't take the credit. Thank IIC and The Rev Shark for finding it. I'm just the messenger. Beautiful (fantastic) charts you posted. And great strategy on your part. Happy you could recoup some of your loss from earlier in the week.

BTW, I'm posting this from my hometown in Canada, at the hotel lobby computer. Scottrade lets me into my account, but blocks me from buying or selling. Kind of happy to see BW down a bit today, so I might have a fighting chance of a good entry Mon. AM. The POTW is a (screaming haunted) wreck for me this week.

    All the best, eh? Riverbabe

Brush Engineered Materials, Inc. BW, a Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) company, sports year-over-year earnings per share growth of 69% for the full year. The company reported fourth-quarter earnings of 44 cents per share, excluding an item, in mid-February. The result more than doubled last year's 21 cents and surpassed the consensus estimate by 13%. Sales reached $207.8 million for the fourth quarter, an increase of 48% over the year-prior quarter. Sales for the full-year 2006 were a record $763.1 million, up 41% from the 2005 result.

The play I like here is to buy the May 07 50's, BWEJ, at todays closing price of 2.60. The call actually dropped - .01 today on the stock going up +.69 The implied volitaility has been dropping somewhat but after todays close and the closer it gets to being in the money at $50 will provide a nice gain on the option. I will be watching it tomorrow to come out of that handle with some strength. The fundamentals are off the scale and look absolutely great with qtr. over qtr. eps gains off the scale. A very strong stock right now and especially coming out of that cup and handle base. I think that May 07 50 is a great play to leverage some serious shares of this stock versus buying the stock at todays closing price of $49.24.
It never fails to amaze me how some things come your way inadvertently. I've always said that I read all of these posts looking for leads and good stock ideas. Well it paid off for me this morning with Riverbabe's BW. I bought the May 07 50 call, BWEJ, and that option was up .90 on BW's breakout from that cup and handle formation is was coming out of yesterday. In and out before lunch. Very nice score and thank you Riverbabe for bringing that one to the table.

    BW Thursday night

Our stock of the week inched higher Thursday and looks very good for a potential break out. We already have our shares but may consider beefing up the position on a move over the $50.20 area on strong volume. Rev Shark

I'm sorry that I missed it on the IIC 100 as I don't check it out that much for any of my plays or setups but I'm sure Rev Shark got that stock right off the IIC 100. Where else could he have gotten it?

The daily has a nice double bottom cup base going on over the past 7 weeks or so. Looks to be forming a handle right now. Be on the lookout for a pop coming out of the handle shortly.

    BW Update from Tuesday night

    From the Shark:

"BW added 1.41% Tuesday on a slight uptick in volume. There has yet to be any significant developments with this name and I will continue to hold shares as the setup materializes. "

    BW Update from Monday night

    Stock of the Week

Our Stock of the Week, BW, gapped up to start the day but drifted down steady and closed with a loss of 38 cents. The stock is still set up very well and my inclination is to add shares on a low volume pullback to the 46 levels. I’ll hold on to my current position and wait for further developments. I like this longer term and will be patient with it.

    River,
Shark is actually conservative about those '07 & '08 estimates by maybe 3% for whatever that's worth.

The IIC 100 really has no relation to my REAL trading life...I present it as a help to others...Some guys...not many...Are just nice guys...I'm looking for nothing...Just tryin' to help others...Reminds me of one of my "3,156 Sayings To Live By"...One that my wife doesn't really like...LOL...:
