    FCSX reports this AM.

FCSX put in a hammer formation in front of its earnings report tomorrow morning. This simply means that it dipped intraday and then closed around the same place it opened. This is generally considered bullish action because it shakes out weak holders on the intraday dip and replaces them with more confident buyers. There are no estimates so its tough to determine expectations but the Rev thinks "there is a good likelihood they may produce a pleasant surprise for those who gambled and held on to some shares."

Personally, I didn't see much to be confident about in the action of the last two weeks. And I got shaken out. Riverbabe

Potential fer a fuzzy 3 up now ... see it? Potential for bullish breakaway gap today too, with volume very high intraday. Now I'm bullish on it while today's gap holds.

Okay, I have to ask the question (finally)! What's "fuzzy"? Do you mean it just "might" be the beginning of a 3 up, and it's too early to be sure? Would the 2 down be the low point of the doji?

The last candle tells me there are more buyers than sellers out there today.
But the 5 min. chart is showing me a big increase in volume that is predominantly red at this point and it's trading in a narrow range.

I agree, if it holds the gap, I might be tempted to buy in if there's good action on Monday. Thank you Spike! Riverbabe

I'm still holding the May 50 call from 2.50. Last trade 8.04: bid now at 7.90 and asked at 8.60. The call is up 5.54. I think River is still in it. Looks good to 60.

River, I'm shocked! Ye dasn't knowwhat fuzzy means?!?! Cat o' nine tails fer th' lass! heh

But seriously, do yourself a favor and study up on fuzziness; look at the many example charts I've posted over the years, and the ones I'm still posting here and at Scuttlebutt, ask questions to clarify, and see the edge that fuzziness offers. And if after studying it and applying it to price action in stocks you think it's a waste of time.....I'll refund what you paid for it.

I've explained Fuzzy Countin' here http://technicaltrades.net/Scuttlebu...opic.php?t=224 but the themed language may frustrate you, in which case try http://www.technicaltrades.net/the-fuzzy-c/

Basically, fuzzy counting is appling fuzzy logic to impulse waves in a chart. While the term fuzzy logic sounds nonsensical, the concepts of it are simple and have been accepted as scientifically valid.

Fuzzy logic is used in our world to improve efficiency of systems -research it and you'll see many examples of that. Fuzzy logic is different to classical logic; it uses partial truth logic.

"You can use fuzzy (logic) to incorporate anticipatory behavior into a process, and it’s the type of prediction that is like the intuitive knowledge that a human operator of that process has". Russell Rhinehart 2006.

My argument is that Fuzzy Counting leverages intuitiveness, increases the efficiency of interpreting a chart, increases the efficiency of searching for impulsiveness that we all like to see for our longs and shorts, and allows one to find great r/r trades based on the location of the highly significant Fuzzy C.

It's a very simple system for mapping impulse waves and identifying where they are likely to commence and terminate (as opposed to formal Elliott Wave Theory). It's about finding points in time where odds favor a certain bias. It works for all time frames, and it's fascinating. Like I said, do yeself a favor!

I see that you don't read my posts Doug. I'm sure that I've posted a running commentary on BW and the May 50 call. Up 6 points as of close Friday. I thought Rev's call on BW was a real good lead as it was a fundamentally strong company in a nice chart pattern. I didn't feel the same about the other one at all and holding thru earnings waiting for the report is gambling and alot of luck involved. The BW play was there for the taking and not really a matter of luck as much as recognizing the setup and opportunity in both the stock and the option. The May 55 call was under 1.00 when I first mentioned the May 50 call. Now that May 55 call is close to 5. I mentioned them both several times here and no one mentioned the play or showed any interest.

Commiserations river; ye nay be th' first t' suffer the slings an' arrows o' a stop! May yer next entry nail it. Twas a stock with potential I reckon; Shark's entry that stopped ye out was just a bit early be all.

In me humble chat yesterday I posted 2 separate entries fer it through th' day; a swing and a scalp; obviously both did very well by day's end. I was sure to be given' yer good name the credit fer bringin' it t' our attention. Drop in sometime if ye gets th' time! That goes fer anyone else who may be lookin' fer timely entries and great r/r setups intraday.
