MO (ALTRIA) spun off Kraft Foods on 3/30/07 and share owners received .7 share of Kraft for each share of MO they had in their accounts! Altria now consists of ALtria USA and Phillip Morris International, which may also be spun off in the near future. Altria holds a 28.6% position in SABMiller and also owns Phillip Morris Capital corporation which is involved in aircraft, manufacturing facilities and real estate . SABMiller brewing is also a possible spinoff. Needless to say my daughter is very happy with the extra 6K thrown into her account. Jeremy Siegal award winning professor at Wharton School of business had the mighty MO ranked up there as one of the best all time hold stocks.

I agree. MO has been the best performing of the last 15 stocks I've purchased. Also got my son in on a dip a couple months ago. You didn't mention the 3.95% div. which ads up nicely when compounded.Hate the smokes, but contribute some gains to a favored charity.
