Gold & Commodity Plays !

Will Gold ever hit $1,000 per ounce...who knows? I did come across some plays in this area which are "Interesting" .
I will classify these plays as "BEST" "GOOD" and "BAD BOYS" .

The BEST plays Conservative NYSE :

1. BHP Billiton ( BHP ) Diversified into many base metals, including Gold, Silver and Uranium?
2. Free Port Copper & Gold ( FCX ) Copper and Gold

The GOOD plays smaller companies on the AMEX :

1. Rubicon Minerals ( RBY ) Robert McEwen, who built Gold Corp from a 50 million exploration company into an 8 billion mega producer, owns 32% of RBY. RBY sits on 96,000 prime acres of exploration property in Ontario Canada. A property that " Just Happen" to surround Goldcorp's Red Leg Mine which will produce 790,000 ounces of gold this year.

2. US Gold ( UXG ) The company is run by Robert McEwen Chairman and CEO ( the individual mentioned above) He holds 170 square miles along the Coetez Trend in Nevada. The Cortez Trend is "believed" to have a gold bearing potential yo rival Nevada's famour Carlin Trend which is located 30 miles to the North East . The Carlin Trend is the RICHEST gold mining district in the world. Robert McEwin is no piker, and he does have a record of producing winners.

The Bad Boys ( Speculative OTC Stocks ) :

1. Minera Andes ( MNEHF ) Robert McEwen holds a 30% stake in THIS company......now why would he have such a big stake of his own money in a specualtive company hmmmmmmm?

2. Jay Hawk Energy ( JYHW )
Devon Energy ( DVN ) shares 12 miles of common boundary with JYHW which sits on 35,000 acres in Bourbon County , Kansas.
JYHW according to engineering reports sits on a recoverable 78 Billion cubic feet of natural gas, waiting to be harvested and sold. It is worth a minimum of $553 million dollars based on today's gas prices. Of course there is also many tons of coal with the gas.

Shares of the China-based Longtop Financial Technologies Ltd. (LFT) soared more than 85% in its U.S. stock market debut yesterday, the latest in a series of China-based initial public stock offerings (IPOs) that have posted huge gains on their first day of trading. The Xiamen, China-based Longtop provides information-technology services to that country's financial-services sector - yet another white-hot business segment, as middle-class workers start to amass wealth. Services include bank-transaction execution, payroll and risk management for customers, and other services. For the quarter that ended June 30, Longtop said revenue rose a blistering 47%, rising to $16.1 million this year from $10.9 million a year ago. Net income, however, dipped slightly, to $4.9 million this year to $5.1 million last year.

Dumped Spkl

I finally dumped my SPKL today......seems like it was just floundering ..only made $2600 , but I have learned ......NEVER MARRY a stock.......perhaps I will buy it back if it drops further.
There will be other opportunities! I really should have dumped it when billiy dumped his !

3 Sweet ones SVR, SGMO, BZP

SVR, SGMO and BZP are sweet! BZP may be most risky because it is on the AMEX .....the other 2 are worth a buy . Why do I think so? The charts speak for themselves......GOD knows what they do ....but who cares? Over a 2-10 day period U will make money with these.

According to their site, SPKL has already 40 restaurants. They give addresses for all of them although a couple won't be open until Jan. 1st or thereabouts. They also list 52 "in development" with cities but no address given. We might have to get back in sooner than we thought.
