Want Feedback on Under $10 Stock Services

Would like feedback from anyone that has subscribed to any Under $10 stock services such as IBD or thestreet.com. Also want information on free sites with information on under $10 stocks. Thanks

billyjoe, I subscribed to thestreet.com Stocks Under $10 for about 3 months last year. What they do is actively buy and sell the stocks in their $100,000portfolio and notify you by email just before they are making the trade. So, you practically have to be glued to the computer, just in case. It was interesting to note the short-term spike in volume in the particular stock just after I would get the email. I found that I didn't want to be chained to the computer, nor did I want to invest that kind of money in just $10 stocks. Also, they made some questionable decisions IMHO, like holding stocks through earnings, with some disastrous results. They always give logical reasons for buy, sell or hold the particular stocks, and they give a weekly summary of those reasons and what to expect in the near future. But, they sure aren't infallible. I finally gave up because they were actually losing me money. I guess if I had the amount of money they were trading in $10 stocks and could keep up precisely with what they were doing, I might have made some money. But, for me it was not profitable and was more than a little frustrating.

If you are just looking for a list of under $10 stocks, you might do better by doing your own screening or finding them elsewhere, doing your own DD and making your own trade decisions in your own time frame. JMHO. Riverbabe

Back quite a while ago I posted 25 sub sites that offered FREE TRIALS at Mr. Breakout. I don't know much about any of them except StockGarden.com (Which also has some nice free stuff)...The list is still up in the Mr. B Archives although I don't know how many are still valid and I don't know if any are ripoffs.

You could use the advanced stock screener on on moneycentral.msn.com and screen for stocks with a rating of 10 and a price under $10 ...

BTW, what is the deal with stocks under $10?

            Regards,
