First impression? well from all the pictures without your shirt, lets just say I was happy to see the family pictures come up

    J/k

First impression was that here is a person that does their research and know what he is talking about!

First saw you on IDB about two month ago.

      Voted for IBD.

From personal experience, the percentage voting in your poll is much higher than those who claim an interest in their investments, and those who actively take an interest in them. This is true in an investment clib I started in 2003, and the local IBD Meetup meetings that I have attended. You are once again breaking the bank with a high turnout. Way to go Mr. Market!

I found this site via IBD.
        Happy investing,
        Dave

My opinion is worth no more than the price you paid for me to give it.

          MM -

I found your site through your posts on the IBD forum. I just joined your site yesterday but am already enjoying the fruits of your PDX analysis.

My only question is - Why do you offer so much for free? The one thing I remember from my college Economics course was "There's no such thing as a free lunch" I would have remembered more from Economics but I went to a state university in Wisconsin (lots of beer)

I'm really not offering anything. I'm doing the analysis for my own account and just feel like sharing it. Let me ask you this question...why wouldn't I want to offer this for free?

P.S. I was kind of hoping someone would want my Yankees / Red Sox tickets. I only have one bid so far on Ebay and someone looks like they are going to get them for $0.01.

MM - I'm used to getting charged for investment analysis, that's all. I just joined, but I already like your writing style and appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Three years ago I was paying some doofus at Wells Fargo $35 a trade for his "analysis", but I don't think he was as smart as the fern in the corner of his office.

I really enjoy your website. Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks...I'm glad someone from IBD feels that way. There seems to be a lot of doubting Thomas's over there. People who doubt the sincerity of someone's generousity usually aren't very generous themselves. It seems like every time I post on IBD, all I get is crap from the members over there.

Maybe you can set them straight.

Actually, I think you are only catching crap from a few people over on the IBD site. I believe there are a large number of us that found you and your site from IBD and followed you here. And although many of us are not as vocal, I believe we share the opinion that BUCK expressed. As for myself, I hope to soon start bragging about my own consectutive streak. Does 1 count as a streak?

Found you on IBD, and while making money is nice (okay, that's an understatement) I'm really interested in trading well. Fortunately the two aren't mutually exclusive. Great posts about your analysis and trades. Keep plugging.
P.S. I'm from Wisconsin, where cheese rules!

Who what where how when why???

I had the great fortune of finding Mr. Markets posts on IBD. His profound, unique, and potentially profitable ideas caught my attention. Being the highly intelligent person I am, I decided to come here and learn more from Mr. Markets obviously higher intelligence.
Yes it hurts my pride to admit that Mr. Market is greater than myself, but I feel I must if I want to reach my important goal of retiring in less than 5 years with at least $20,000,000 in my trading account. I don't feel as if I can reach my goal by blindly following IBD's principles alone. As a matter of fact, I will not blindly follow Mr. Markets trades either, But I will follow a large majority of them and will learn from him and bring him the finest meats and cheeses for his generousity and kindness in allowing me to learn from his superior methods.
Yes IBD is fine, but Mr. Market makes more money. Mr. Market makes BUKU BUCKS!!!! MUCHO DENARO!!! MEGA MILLIONS!!!! HE'S AWSOME!!! HE'S AMAZING!!! HE's... am I overdoing it??? naa..
                            Thankyou Mr. Market!!!! Thankyou!!!
I will buy you the best meats and cheeses from Europe and other such places when I become wealthy beyond my wildest dreams. And I will be rich!!!...because of your generosity...HA HA HA!!!
                            I am overwhelmed....

I found you through the IBD forums. I was very impressed by your unemotional, tactful response to (stuck in) snow....

                              You've got a winning attitude.

Well, Mr. Market, we "met" online somehow a few years ago when you were in your mid thirties of successful trades. Don't recall how it happened. Perhaps it was as a result of the INVN message board or some other defense stock that was heavy at the time. Anyway, we emailed about stocks, your hometown site and your method of analysis. I was too green to understand much of it at the time. I sent you a picture taken in St. Thomas on my then recent honeymoon. Do you remember? Anyway, new marriage, old computer, problems and subsequent crash (computer not the marriage) and we lost touch. Also, I made tons and tons of mistakes in trading and lost alot of money and shied away for awhile .
I've been back now for awhile. apparently, sticking my foot in it from time to time, unintentionally, of course. I find your site extremely valuable and I'm amazed at how it's grown. The level of expertise and diversity of methods is like manna from heaven to this still green gray matter of mine. I love both the fundamentalists and the technical analysts. And I appreciate the people with the moxi to ask each other what they are holding, as I quickly write these down and research them myself. I can't thank you enough for this site and for all that I am learning from the unselfish people who give so much of their time on it.
(I can hear you now, "oh sure you can, go ahead, thank me again and again." <grin&gt by the way, I like your sense of humor, even if it does get a little 'male' at times.
Somewhere you asked for a suggestion if anyone had one. Well, how about at thread called the "wading pool?" Sort of like a baby pool for those who find themselves over their heads from time to time. This would be a safe place for people to go and post embarrasingly simple questions that would frustrate the life out of the more seasoned traders on the other threads but would help the young'uns catch their breaths and get a better grasp of the game. The option to help with a response would be open to anyone with a heart and an answer. Admittedly, I would be posting from time to time. (with goober questions, i'm afraid, not the answers.....sigh.....) Anyway, there you have it. My history with $MM$, and my .02 cents of input.
