    Hi Newborn,

Your technical opinion about CPA. The leading air carrier in Latin America. Stocks went down recently (high fuel costs, low profit). I think CPA still has space to grow.

Al, I flew COPA from Panama to Buenos Aires (on my way to Antarctic) and Buenos Aires to Miami. They are a Continental partner, and I see they are also now a KLM partner. I was impressed with the service, meals, condition of the planes, everything. Pleasant flying with them. I see at yahoo that their traffic went up in September. Will also be interested in the experts' TA on this one, but will also do my own DD. River

        Big Al,
CPA: $38.50 has to hold. Excellent place to buy the stock and put a stop under it. If $38.50 fails, forget it. But it may hold . . . . My gut says $28 is coming back in style, but again, we won't know until $38.50 fails. So your options are these:
BUY the SUPPORT here and put a stop under it.
SELL the BROKEN SUPPORT at $38.50 if/when it fails.

Not a bullish chart right now.

              What a nice run! Congrats!
Now if you really, really love CPA, here's the place to buy it. But in my opinion, there are other, more bullish charts out there that ought to interest you ahead of this one.

Foiled again! Less than a month after I sell all my CNE, they sell out to Penn West at 16.59/share plus a special .09 dividend per share.

Yes I know. Still . . . you know that Canada is going to tax the profit out of these Cans. Did you make a profit? IF so, why are you screaming?

Buy Penn West and go on if you like it.

                    Billy,
TSO: Dr. K has on offer on the table for $64 per share. TSO shares are today $58.59. There ya go! And they pay a $0.10 divy per quarter! ($0.40 annually)

                      New-born,
I'm not asking for much, just a >10% dividend on a safe stock! PBT looks good. Pays over 11% and is relatively safe.

                        Hey there NBB,

So what's your take on the recent market action? Do the charts point to a target if the S&P falls below 1400? below 1350? Are we headed for 1300, 1200, or 1000?

                        just wonderin...

Very ugly, Jiesen. The BEAR market is here for sure, for sure.
                          SHORT TERM
Remember prices sawtooth up or sawtooth down. Today (so far) we are having a rally in a bear market. You should be selling into strength.

$INDU: the Dow lost the 12,900 support, so next real
target is 12,000. It ain't done falling. I am thinking about 10,000 Dow ultimately, maybe even lower.

Marty Chenard says the Dow will lose 3,000 points with the failure of the Christmas market. The Subprime slime is going to give us 2+ rough years, I think.

S&P: 1350 target on PnF. Dow Theory says about 1225.

                            Billy,
                            Got your ears on?

Well HTE hit $20.90 this morning. The DEC $20 call sells for $1.40. That gives you about $0.50, plus the $0.30 divy per share, quick way to make $0.80 if HTE holds above $20 (I think she will).

                                Newborn,
Could you and your congregation put in a good word to The Man upstairs for all the veterans? My father and at least 27 others on his floor at the Ohio Veterans Home have some type of pneumonia and they weren't in very good shape to begin with . Almost all in wheelchairs. Thanks
