Another Contest. This one has Prizes!!

$10 - $15 revisited

I was saying that Ski's FEED was a rare bird going from under $10 to $18 so decided to see what became of the picks in this contest starting Sept.18th of last year. The greatest known minds in stock selection came together to find an under $10 stock that would finish over $15 in approximately 2 1/2 months. Nobody accomplished the task and the valuable prizes remain on the shelves of the extensive billyjoe collection of investing volumes.

But wait......... finally today after nearly 7 months one of those picks has finished at 15.39 and thus can be truly called a winner. Out of the goodness of my heart I've decided to award all the prizes to this individual. Sorry....... the winner is my own pick of DAR....... well done me darling. Special mention goes to Ray who also likes DAR and has picked it many times in various contests including this week's POTW.

I sold my DAR and it goes up .80 the next day. It never moved that much while I owned it.

Final Report $10 - $15 Challenge

This contest challenged stock pickers to find a stock priced under $10 that would appreciate to close at $15 or greater in approximately 2 1/2 months. A couple, notably Rob and Karel, reached the $15 mark , but never closed above it.

IIC had the highest priced stock with about 3 minutes remaining then inexplicably faded. The final prices of all picks showing a gain:

Sold my DAR in real life for 10% gain. Freed up $$ to buy BRKB, a bargain @4466.00. I still see a bright future for DAR.
