    Stock Trader's Almanac

Amazon has a sale on Stock Trader's Amanac 2008 with a release date of October 5th. Has anyone here had experience with these in the past? Is it a worthwhile purchase? Some on IBD had recommended it before. Curious as to whether it would be of benefit. All comments welcome. Thanks, River

        River,
I hold in my hand Stock Trader's Almanac 2007. They seem to offer no quotes on Saturdays or Sundays so I'll give you those for Sept. 20th: "Selling a soybean contract short is worth two years at Harvard Business School" and the 21st: "What technology does is make people more productive. It doesn't replace them" and as an added bonus Monday Sept 24th's quote : "Give me a stock clerk with a goal and I will give you a man who will make history. Give me a man without a goal and I will give you a stock clerk"---J.C. Penny.
It's a barrel of laughs. You will find it interesting I'm sure.

Now that sounds like my kind of humor! Thanks billyjoe. P.S. Did you read about our possible JV and Doug sending you his PayPal account number??? Whaddiya think? Too bad we missed the midnight deadline last night. We might have missed the opportunity of a lifetime! Just think of all that salacious and confidential information on that laptop that we could have sold to the tabloids! (You know one particular tabloid I had in mind, heh heh.)

            River,
Yes, Doug is Tabloid Fodder if ever there was one. With all his internet connections his many cronies would pay dearly for gossip concerning IIC such as " Is the IIC 100 really about stocks? Wink wink" or " IIC, What was he Really Running From in the Cornhusker State?" Lets call the internet tabloid "Heard Down By the River" where anonymous posters can ruin celebrities without fear of reprisal.

Just to set the record straight in case there is any confusion...The criteria is not on my laptop...I meant that if I had my laptop with me on my deathbed I could post the criteria a minute or two before the end...But with my luck there would probably be a miracle and I'd suddenly recover right after pressing the SUBMIT button.

No confusion. Just trying to obfuscate it for the sake of a little light humor. Thanks for being a good sport.

Maybe that's why I was perplexed and bewildered (although I made a typo the first time I see)...Did you get it?

Well, OF COURSE I did, but figured it was just a slip of the finger, like the rest of us. Unless you really meant "bewitched, bothered and bewildered." (Now that song's going to go through my head for the rest of the night.) Wow, did we get off topic! Let's see now, sayings to make us wise in the Stock Trader's Almanac...
                        What else is in there?

Actually...I meant did you get that I already knew what it meant?

Anyway...Go to Barnes and Noble and look at the 2007 edition...If it looks interesting go ahead and order the new one on sale.
