STRL ==> The Old Saigon Winner

($$$MR. MARKET$$$ is a proprietary investor and does not provide individual financial advice. The stocks mentioned on this forum do not represent individual buy or sell recommendations and should not be viewed as such. While The Gen Z’s were busy chasing meme stocks $$$MR. MARKET$$$ was out there, doing what I do best: picking winning stocks that have real earnings. In fact, my track record is sterling. It’s so sterling, I decided to buy stock today in Sterling Infrastructure (STRL). Today I bought in at 330.60. I will sell it in 4 to 6 weeks at 381.85.

Sterling stock is up 173.6% in the last year, and a mind-bending 2071.15% over the last five. That's not just a stock; that's a financial freight train and it's about to blast off so hard it'll make the S&P 500 look like a snail in a marathon. STRL’s innovative high-tech infrastructure solutions are expanding into new geographic markets

Q2 2025 earnings didn't just beat ANAL-yst expectations; they annihilated them. Revenue up 11.6%, EPS up a staggering 20.6%. This company is so financially stable, they could probably stand on one leg in a hurricane and not even flinch. Tariffs or no tariffs. And the best part? They're just getting started. This is the warm-up act. Actual revenue came in at $614.5 million versus the predicted $550.55 million. Adjusted EBITDA was 35% higher than expected—because “good enough” is not in Sterling’s vocabulary. Operating cash flow jumped to $85 million, and gross profit margins surged from 19.3% to 23.3%. This isn’t luck; this is execution precision. The company closed the first half of 2025 with $2.01 billion in open orders—24% higher than last year. Free cash and equivalents? Nearly $700 million. That’s not just a cash reserve; that’s an arsenal ready to deploy new investments and acquisitions that will punch through market ceilings.

Here's the real juice, the reason STRL is about to become a verb for "making insane amounts of money." They're acquiring CEC Facilities Group. This isn't just some ho-hum business deal; this is a strategic masterpiece. CEC is an absolute beast in the critical electrical solutions space. We're talking about the kind of high-margin work that makes a company's financials look like a rocket ship's flight path. This acquisition is going to expand STRL's geographic footprint and give them a monopoly on the kind of infrastructure solutions that the modern world can't live without. We're talking data centers, semiconductors, and all that techy stuff. By the end of this year, CEC's profit is expected to be a cool $390-$415 million. That's not a typo. That's a pile of cash so big it probably has its own gravitational pull. This is a deal that will be paid for with cash, not some pathetic credit line. They've got so much cash, they probably use hundred-dollar bills as paper towels. Sterling’s management isn’t just collecting companies like trading cards. They understand how to integrate CEC’s portfolio seamlessly

While the so-called ANAL-ysts are out there with their little DCF models and their pathetic "long-term" forecasts, I'm telling you what's going to happen in the short term. The market is underpricing this company's potential. They're not seeing how seamlessly CEC's portfolio will integrate. This acquisition is going to unlock a profit and growth potential that will send this stock soaring.
And that's why, by the end of six weeks, you'll see STRL at $381.85 per share. STRL is the ultimate investment. It's got the fundamentals, the management, and the strategic foresight of a chess grandmaster playing against a toddler. Count me in. I am HUGE!

Excellent timing! There was a nice little pop in STRL today when they upped their guidance. Great picking, Mr. Market.
