google: day trading. This link might help some too, at first I didnt understand it all so it is probably a great place to start. It gives you all the basics or a place to start researching. The technical analysis section at the end is very good but the earlier classes cant be missed.: http://www.tradingacademy.com/freeonlinecourses.htm

I'd suggest getting your list of the best fundamental stocks together...Then trading them based on technicals.

You can technically analyze till you are blue in the face...I'd suggest learning some basic technicals to start.

I subscribe to Stockcharts.com Real Time...But even if you don't want to pay for any of their services...They have a lot of great FREE stuff.

You might want to check out their FREE Chart School for starters:

Moved these post from the thread titled: How was your 2007. Really folks (specifically in this case jae16), have a care where you post. A search for "swing" found one topical thread that died two years ago (and one that was specifically started by a member as a kind of personal log), so I started a new one.

        Oh yes, welcome, jae16!

Sorry I don't usually post in forums so I didn't even know that a search existed... guess I should have looked...

No problem; it is just that I don't like to clean up all that much. The rule is simple: when you enter a discussion and find you want to introduce a really new topic, unrelated to the title, it might be best to start a new topic (thread), but only after a search for relevant existing topics. That's all.

Well, almost. Some newcomers spray the board with a number of threads about picks they make or want to discuss. In that case it would be nice if you kept those in one thread, like IIC's Winners Watchlists, Pete's Money Makers, and others. They can be quite different, depending on their "owner". If you feel the urge, start your own.

            Regards,
