Announcing the enhanced 2026 Pick of the Year contest! Now with scrubbing bubbles!!

It’s that time, pickers. Put your thinking caps on and select that one special stock for our 2026 Pick of the Year (PotY) contest!

To guide you in your journey, here are the contest rules:

    The Rules.
    1. Any stock trading on the NASDAQ, AMEX, NYSE or OTC can be picked.
    2. You designate your pick by replying to this thread.
    3. You are only allowed one pick.
    4. You have until Sunday, February 1, 2026 up to 11:59 PM PST to make a pick without a penalty.
    5. The contest starts with the opening bell on Monday, February 2, 2026.
    6. Your starting price will be the Friday, January 30, 2026 closing price.
    7. You are allowed to change your pick without penalty as long as you do so before the entry deadline.
    8. You are not allowed to change a submitted pick after the entry deadline.
    9. You can choose either a Long or Short position, which you must specify when you designate your pick.
    10. If no position type (Long or Short) is specified, Long will be assumed.
    11. IPOs are allowed, even if the IPO is scheduled to occur after the entry deadline as long as the IPO stock is designated by the entry deadline. The starting price will be the opening price of the first day of the IPO.
    12. A late pick may be submitted after February 1, 2026, but a 20% penalty of the opening price will be added. No picks are allowed after February 28, 2026.
    13. If a pick is delisted, it’s final price will be the closing price when delisted.
    14. A reverse split, split, or symbol change will be accommodated by the scoring system.
So get those picks in! The clock is ticking. Exciting prizes could be waiting!!*

    * - Prize offers not good in any country whose name starts with any of the letters from A to Z.

So you think NVDA has 50% upside or more from here? You do realize this company has a market cap of well over $4T, right? In other words, NVDA will need to reach a $6T market cap or more by the end of the year, to win the POTY. Not saying that's impossible, but seems to me there are lots more picks that are more likely to pop by 50% than NVDA is.

Ok, QTBS for one. MSTR for another. I will look at all of them, and find the best to put down as my pick... stay tuned! Thanks for taking up the discussion, Molly, that's what a bulletin board is for!

Oh, and BYDDF is another good one, probably has a better chance of running up 100% this year than TSLA does It's not too late to change your pick, pretty sure...

I am going with PMRTY - trading at 22 and change now, vs $42 earlier this year... this one is on sale! Pop Mart sells Labubus, and is making $30B in revenues off these this guys this year, projections are for them to make north of $40B next year. If you've been to a Pop Mart store, you know. This one's going to the moon again, $50/shr by EOY, is my bet!
