I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Thank you all
I was planning to use Google Finance the same way. I notice that it gives prices not always every minute from the graph. Is there an easier way to see the minute by minute or tick by tick from Google that I'm not aware? ~Ody
I'd like to know if there is a way also. I see the same thing Ody, I "think" hags was just taking the next price after an odd number of time (10:53 use 10:54 etc.). I've started just waiting on my picks(submit post) till my clock on my computer or the clock where I am watching a stock hits an even time then hit the submit post button. It's worked so the last few times I did this. Will submit my pick shortly, having to clean up the yard for Fay coming thru, will get back to this shortly.
Another quick question Hags. Without copying the entire scoreboard to another sheet and sorting it there by %'s, is there an easier way? Everytime I do a sort, it sorts ALL the rows.
I thought of another way to do it using a seperate sheet and a few calculations that may automate it so I never have to touch it, but if you know a better way.....

Hey Ody,
After I entered the data and noted the leaders, I used the first row to number the first place leader as 101, second place was then 102, etc. down thru to the last contestant. If you look at the first row it's ascending, with each player having a two number common and then followed by three numbers to keep them in order....the last rows for every player ends in XX997, XX998, XX999 so they always stay on the end...Once you have the very first row numbered, you just sort by ascending number and they line up....When the week is over, I re-number the 101, 102, etc. to the last number to go in their respective spots, so take jiesen for example, his player number is 20 and this weeks pick, when finished would be his 23 pick....so looking at his list of picks you'll see 20222 as last weeks pick, thus at the end of the week his current pick would become 20223 and after sorting , would fall right in line behind 20222....I re-sort at the end of the week and only after I copy the top set so I don't have to drag and drop after they're all re-sorted....I see you're using the hide feature....I never liked that due to the fact it messed up when you sorted via the sort function...I would just copy the whole set at the top, and pasted them above, basically duplicating the weekly contestant's list....then I re-numbered one set to fit in line with each members number pattern....hit sort on the first row, and the one set would sort to there proper spots and the copied set would remain on top....then I'd clear the data from last week's contest and start fresh just like the setup you had to start with this week...If someone didn't participate, I'd just delete the row and if they cam back later, I'd go to their last pick and copy and paste it up top, noting to change the first number so it would stay up there for the week..
I'll take a look at the sheet and place the 101, 102, etc. so you see where I put them....then if you sort using the first row only, they stay in order....a note....the rows right after the members currently playing are numbered as well...it's just the numbers are hidden....
Congratulations bat, and good job, peanuts and sirtuck!
Hags, thank you for a job you really did very well.
Odysseus, thank you for filling in! We really appreciate it!
And I am still long EXM. I hope it is just one more week that I am off the job of checking my portfolio, but it could become two. Anyway: long EXM! As I said at the beginning of this (ahem, the previous) week: what goes down must come up
Regards,
Karel
There is a rumor that EXM is a takeover target. Good luck! Riverbabe
WOW the standings in the last 30 minutes today could have led to 4 different winners. The percentages gained in the spreadsheet was bouncing back and forth between the 4..
Congratulations karel, I believe you held on for a good gain and win.
