I would think so, seeing as LPJC is not a valid stock ticker. Unfortunately, LJPC doesn't work for this contest today, either, since the price is below $2. If it opened above $2, I'd have picked it myself...

which leads to an interesting predicament. Since LJPC actually did open at $2, and is now fair game- depending whether NBB's entry is valid, despite the typo, I'll sell AMLN and buy LJPC (but only if NBB's pick is void).

                  3 times a charm I hope

My first 2 messages didn't go through for some reason. Ah well, my pick didn't rise much anyhow. Said a moderator had to check it. Have I been bad?

GBN long for me this week. Thanks !

Yes, you have been bad! Check your Testing thread; its starting post looks exactly like an invitation to a spam reply. ("Well, I know about this wonderful service [link] that has worked very well for me, etc.") You'll note that Doug/IIC answers "I'll wait for the next post". He has his own forums to moderate, so he had the same suspicion. You are cleared now, as are your posts.

Your first call was here, so that should decide your entry price.

                    Regards,

Sorry about that. Problem is I've read several forums, including this one, and have noticed that not many people talk about the software they use to trade with or test with. Or maybe I just have overlooked that thread

I'm big in to testing theories before applying them and was hoping that thread would shed some light on what others may be backtesting with.

I have found 2 software applications that I can afford that work, and even found a forum for the one I mentioned before (with bug fixes thank god), so I'm good to go now. I should have connected the Testing title with the fact that I'm a newbie as a bad combo

Sorry about that and thanks Karel !

Interesting! I am all for backtesting, but with $$$Mr. Market$$$'s method I get no further than forward testing. A paper traded portfolio with my own version of his original method is running now for 6 years, on and off, as a Marketocracy fund, see my sig.

If you have something to report about testing, please do.

                            Regards,
