About the only way you can keep it honest is everybody that enters the POTW be honest with themselves.. not worth cheating on in my book, what's would be the point. I thought about it some way to improve it myself to make it cheat proof. You can't really make a pick and then come back later and put the real time quote in a second post or for that matter make a pick in itself and be completely cheat proof. You can always edit your first pick and leave the pick out. Then later come back and pick one that is in your favor. There are a lot of ways I imagine you could "if" you wanted to.. to cheat, but like I said... what would be the point.. BIG MAN WINNER but small man cheater. Impressive in their own mind.... lets hope everyone takes more pride in theirselves then that.
It never hurts to point out a "simple mistake" that someone has made but first do it in a pm. Just a suggestion!

Nope, I think this is serious. We've already had one egregious instance of cheating in the POTY contest and Karel & Ernie looked the other way. If it were me, I would unceremoniously give anyone caught cheating here the heave-ho and ban them from the forum forever. It spoils the integrity of the contest for everyone else if you can't believe the results. Heck, who'd want to even bother entering. Sorry, I'm still disgusted with what happened in the POTY. River

I went back and read all the posts and don't remember any of it, yet I see I was still picking stocks apparently under the influence of prescription drugs. The results show it. It's hard enough picking good stocks with a sound mind.

oh boy shows you what happens when you go off for the day on a Fri.. my first pick improved my standing 7% this week and my last pick kicked my butt while I am gone 13% uggggggg..... that'll be hard to overcome!

Gimme a break Rob...I was talking about people who intentionally cheat...As far as I'm concerned...unless I missed it in some post...Bat explained what he did...I'll admit that I have not been as attentive lately to reading all the posts word for word...So if I missed something ...which I am not gonna go back and check...Then I stand by my original statement that you must have bookmarked...But the way I read it...It was an honest mistake...UNLIKE MOTHERLOAD'S recent shenanigans...Best, Doug

There were 38 minutes between the time of your post and the time of your last edit. I believe in the "trust but verify" philosophy, which is why, if I were keeping score (as I did here for many, many moons) I wouldn't allow that. And of course, I'm not keeping score, so that's neither here nor there. I'm just sayin'.

Let it go guys and let's move on.... this got out of hand... no need to carry it any further.. I think Rob is just referring back 2 years ago.
No cheater or cheating going on now... at least I don't see any.. I watch this topic at least 4-6 times a day ha. I even got my own little version of the tracking system set up, write down everyone initial picks etc. (just for fun to look up and study on why each person is picking a certain stock). Make my old limited physical life go by each day is why I do it, plus it is entertainment.....

Anybody know any good jokes they can toss in here to pick everybodies life back up, we need to create a few smiles now...
