Citi is converting more to common stock (CNBC reported the CEO saying that..), it will prob dilute the shares. risky call imo. But you got till may 4th to decide

Can someone explain this to me?

I'm trying to wrap my brain around what it all means. How does this affect the average guy that's just buying plain old shares of C...other than the fact that the price went down?

Yeah maybe not. Today was a first for me using a 7% Stop Order though. HBAN proceeded to lose 7% immediately but it doesn't feel too bad knowing that it could have been alot worse.

    Come on Vitamin C!

later that same day...I wanted to stay in for the long term but just had to bail

    Phew...got out at $3.78

    Started on 3/18 & 3/19
    $2.58 & $3.33

    Glad I didn't cut and run at -7% but I realize I caught a beginner's break.
Hopefully I'll be more careful on the next one.

C is getting 5 billion infusion

They are selling a brokerage in japan that raises them more than 5 billion. I suppose if the deal goes through thats good news for citi stock.

P.S. I still wana know about split reversing that i mentioned above and when/if it is going to go through.

March 30 (Bloomberg) -- Citigroup Inc. is seeking formal bids for Nikko Cordial Corp., its Japanese brokerage unit in a sale that may raise more than $5 billion, the Financial Times reported, citing people close to the situation.

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc., Mizuho Financial Group Inc. and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc., Japan’s three biggest banks, have expressed interest in buying the business, which Citigroup purchased for $13 billion in cash and shares over several years, the report said.
